    • Report: Tanner Scott could be next Marlin traded
According to Buster Olney, sources told him that Tanner Scott is “the guy on their roster you’d look at” but Josh Bell could also interest teams as well.

Advice: After the Marlins traded Luis Arraez this weekend, assuming a firesale would follow was only logical. Scott was electric as the closer for the Marlins last year, but has seen some control issues resurface this season. He has a 2.77 ERA and four saves, but he also has 14 walks in 13 innings. If he were to be traded, he would likely serve as a setup man, and the Marlins could turn back to A.J. Puk in the closer’s role which means Puk could be worth a speculative add in leagues. Buster Olney’s article also mentioned that Josh Bell and Jake Burger could interest some teams in need of offensive punch. Rotoworld Today, 7:18 am
    • David Robertson gets first save in 10th inning
David Robertson pitched a hitless 10th with a one-run lead for his first save Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Kirby Yates wound up with the win after pitching scoreless eighth and ninth innings. It’s a good reminder that even though Robertson was bypassed in favor of Yates after José Leclerc was removed from the closing gig, he’s still intriguing in mixed leagues. He has a 1.02 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:57 pm
    • Coulds see save chances
Hudson is the likely favorite for save opportunities after Dodgers closer Evan Phillips (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Advice: Hudson has been working in a setup role in the early stages of the season, putting him in prime position to fill in at closer for the Dodgers. The right-hander has seven holds and a save with a 3.60 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 16:1 K:BB over 15 innings this year. Phillips' injury was diagnosed as a Grade 1 strain, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, so a return at the 15-day minimum is possible. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:35 am

    • Jordan Hicks walks four in loss to Phillies
Jordan Hicks gave up four runs — two earned — and walked four in four innings Friday in a loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Improved control has been a big key for Hicks in his successful run in the Giants rotation, but this is the second time in his last three starts that he’s walked four batters, giving him14 walks in 38 innings for the year. The loss tonight was his first, and he still has a nice 1.89 ERA for the season. Still, he doesn’t seem like a great mixed-league option from here. Rotoworld Friday, 7:45 pm

    • Stuck with first loss
Hicks (2-1) took the loss Friday against the Phillies, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The Phillies scored three times off Hicks in the third inning before tacking on another run in the fourth, handing the right-hander his first loss of the year. While the four runs against Hicks were a season high, he's still yet to allow more than two earned runs through seven starts. Hicks still sports a stellar 1.89 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 38 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Colorado. • Cleared to start Friday
Hicks (side) is listed as the Giants' probable starting pitcher for Friday's game against the Phillies in Philadelphia.

Advice: Hicks contended with side tightness during his most recent outing against the Pirates last Saturday, when he struck out a season-high nine over six innings while allowing one earned run on five hits and no walks. The injury apparently didn't hinder him during his between-starts bullpen session, so he's on track to take the hill for the seventh time this season Friday. After pitching exclusively in relief between stops with St. Louis and Toronto in 2023, Hicks has performed even better than the Giants could have imagined after signing him to a four-year, $44 million deal this winter with the plan of converting him to a full-time starting role. Through his first six turns through the rotation, Hicks has delivered two wins to go with a 1.59 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB in 34 innings. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:31 pm

    • Grabs first win
Scott (1-4) earned the win Tuesday over Colorado, allowing an unearned run on a hit and a walk in one inning. He struck out two.

Advice: Scott allowed the free runner to score in the top of the 10th inning on a two-out Ryan McMahon double before ultimately striking out Hunter Goodman to end the frame. The Marlins would then score twice in the bottom half, completing the comeback victory and giving Scott his first win this year. The left-hander hasn't allowed an earned run in his last six appearances -- he's 4-for-5 in save chances this year with a 2.84 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 12:13 K:BB across 12.2 innings. • Tanner Scott picks up extra-innings win
Tanner Scott allowed one run (no earned) on one hit and one walk in one inning while getting the win in a 7-6 extra-innings win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Scott got two quick outs in the top of the 10th innings but then allowed a double to Ryan McMahon which scored the ghost runner. He then issued an intentional walk before getting another strikeout to end the inning. He would pick up with win when the Marlins scored twice in the bottom of the inning. It’s never easy with Scott but at least the walk tonight was intentional. The Marlins are clearly planning to keep him as their closer, so he deserves to be on your fantasy roster, even if you want to bench him to see if he can work his command issues out. • Reed Garrett gets fifth win against Cardinals
Reed Garrett got his fifth win after allowing only an unearned run between the 10th and 11th innings Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: The automatic runner scored in the 11th, but that didn’t prove to be a problem, since the Mets came back with three in the bottom of the inning. Garrett is now tied for the major league lead in wins with Tyler Glasnow, Ranger Suárez and fellow reliever A.J. Minter. He has a 27/6 K/BB ratio in 14 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Apr 28, 2:36 pm
