    • Sitting vs. southpaw
Mullins is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the White Sox.

Advice: With the White Sox sending left-hander Garrett Crochet to the mound Sunday, the lefty-hitting Mullins will take a seat for the second straight game. Mullins pinch hit in the seventh inning in Saturday's 5-3 win, striking out in his only at-bat. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:13 am

    • Cedric Mullins out Sunday against White Sox
Cedric Mullins is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox.

Advice: Mullins will get a day of rest with southpaw Garrett Crochet on the mound. Colton Cowser is getting the start in center field and he’ll hit ninth while Mullins gets a break. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:49 am

    • Not starting Saturday
Mullins is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Mullins will take a seat Saturday after going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Friday's 6-4 win over the White Sox. Baltimore will roll with Kyle Stowers in left field and Colton Cowser in center against Chicago right-hander Erick Fedde. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:43 am

    • Blasts homer Friday
Soto went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and a walk in Friday's 8-0 win over the Padres.

Advice: Soto's homer stretched the Yankees' lead to 3-0 in the third inning. The superstar outfielder has gone 11-for-27 (.407) with five homers and nine RBI over his last seven contests. This was his fourth multi-hit effort in that span, lifting his slash line to .315/.413/.581 through 53 games this season. Soto has added 14 homers, 43 RBI, 39 runs scored, four stolen bases, 10 doubles and a triple. The Yankees have won 10 of their last 12 games, and Soto's been doing his part to contribute to that success. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:42 pm
    • Juan Soto homers, doubles against former club
Juan Soto homered and doubled in the Yankees’ 8-0 rout of the Padres on Friday.

Advice: Revenge game? Soto was facing his former club, and he kept doing what he’s done for the overwhelming majority of 2024. The 25-year-old scorched one of four homers Yu Darvish gave up on the evening, and he’s gone deep 14 times in his first year in New York. Soto also doubled and walked, and any questions about how he’d handle the pressure of New York have been answered with a resounding “pretty easily.” Rotoworld Friday, 9:26 pm
    • Plays nine innings Thursday
Thomas (knee) went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts for Double-A Harrisburg on Thursday while playing all nine innings in right field.

Advice: It marks the first time in three rehab games that Thomas has played a full nine innings. The 28-year-old is 2-for-9 at the plate in those three contests with a double and a stolen base, and per Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports, the Nationals are considering whether to activate Thomas on Friday or leave him on his rehab assignment for another couple days to get his timing back at the plate. When Thomas does come off the injured list, he should immediately slot back into the starting lineup in right field for Washington. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:54 am
    • Slugs ninth homer
Varsho went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's rout of the Tigers.

Advice: His seventh-inning long ball off Jack Flaherty broke open what had been a 1-1 pitchers' duel, sending the Blue Jays on their way to an eventual 9-1 victory. Varsho has five multi-RBI performances in the last nine games, and on the season he leads Toronto in both homers (nine) and RBI (27). Rotowire.com Friday, 7:38 am

    • Swipes two bags in win
Mullins went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Mullins grounded into a fielder's choice in his first at-bat before going on to steal second and third and coming home for Baltimore's first run of the contest. He would add a single and come around to score during a four-run fourth inning for the Orioles, giving him only his second multi-hit performance this month. Mullins is batting just .160 (8-for-50) in May, though he's swiped four bags over his last five games. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:19 am

    • Varsho blasts ninth home run Thursday
Daulton Varsho went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Varsho came to the plate in a tie game in the seventh inning and hit a two-run home run off Tigers starter Jack Flaherty that put the Blue Jays ahead for good. Varsho is hitting just .213 this year, but he has five stolen bases to go with nine home runs and 27 RBI. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:30 pm
