    • Michael Lorenzen blanks Marlins over 6 1/3 in win
Michael Lorenzen didn’t give up a run while firing 6 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts to help the Rangers to a 7-0 rout of the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Lorenzen exited his last start with a trainer, but the injury didn’t appear to effect him whatsoever. The right-hander scattered five hits and issued just two walks in an impressive outing even when considering the lackluster opponent. Lorenzen has been able to work at least six innings in seven of his eight starts, and he’s posted a very strong 2.96 ERA in the process. That’ll play. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago
    • Josh Hader fires scoreless inning for save vs. Twins
Josh Hader worked a scoreless inning to get a save against the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Hader did allow a walk and didn’t strike anyone out, but he was able to escape without a run while picking up his eighth save of the season. The 30-year-old should continue to be one of the finest closing options for the remainder of 2024. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Delivers another quality start
Crochet didn't factor into the decision in an extra-innings loss to the Brewers on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Crochet's now logged quality starts in five of his last six outings, posting a stellar 1.03 ERA in that span (35 innings). The 24-year-old left-hander continues to provide a bright spot on a rebuilding White Sox team -- Crochet's ERA is down to 3.49 on the year with a 0.93 WHIP and 93 strikeouts, good for second most in the league. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently slated for next week at home against Boston. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Alec Marsh surrenders five in loss to Padres
Alec Marsh went five innings while allowing five runs in a loss Saturday to the Padres.

Advice: Marsh, 26, dealt with control and command issues in this one, as he allowed seven hits, three walks and threw 49-of-80 pitches for strikes. It makes back-to-back outings where the right-hander has allowed five earned runs, but he pitched much better against Minnesota on Monday than this outing. Marsh gets a chance to rebound next weekend against Seattle in Kansas City. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago

    • Randy Vasquez coughs up three runs in victory
Randy Vasquez struck out five while allowing three runs over five innings in a win over the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Vasquez allowed four hits and one walk. All three runs allowed came on hits by Vinnie Pasquantino, as Pasquaninto hit a two-run homer and RBI single off the right-hander. Outside of that the 25-year-old was relatively effective, and good enough for a win with seven runs of run support. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago

    • Jimenez picks up first save Saturday
Dany Jimenez picked up the save against the Braves on Saturday.

Advice: Athletics closer Mason Miller was given the day off. Miller threw two innings and 32 pitches on Thursday against the Rays. Jimenez was called up on Friday and has experience closing games for Oakland with 11 saves in 2022. It’s safe to assume the next save opportunity will go to Miller, but Jimenez might be in line for more saves if Miller were to get injured or traded. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago
    • X-rays come back clean
Ginkel's (leg) X-rays came back negative and can be considered day-to-day, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports Saturday.

Advice: Ginkel took a hard-hit comebacker to his left leg during Saturday's game against the Mets and was immediately removed from the contest. However, he seems to have avoided significant injury and manager Torey Lovullo expressed optimism that Ginkel could be ready as soon as Sunday. Ginkel owns a 4.09 ERA across 22.0 innings this season.
