• Ducks out of lineup against LHP
Biggio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: With southpaw MacKenzie Gore on the hill for Washington, the lefty-hitting Biggio will retreat to the bench. Toronto will insert Isiah Kiner-Falefa into the lineup as its starting second baseman. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

  • Max Muncy gets Sunday off after three-homer game
Max Muncy is not in the starting lineup for the Dodgers on Sunday against Atlanta.

Advice: Muncy’s reward for a three-homer game Saturday vs. Atlanta is a day off against southpaw Max Fried. The 33-year-old slugger will sit with Enrique Hernandez playing third base and hitting fifth against Fried. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

  • Snaps team scoreless streak
Steer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Steer's ninth-inning single plated Cincinnati's lone run -- his team-leading 23rd RBI -- and snapped the club's 26-inning scoreless streak at home. The Reds, which started five players batting .200 or lower, have had issues scoring of late, batting .185 with 78 strikeouts over the last eight games (six losses). Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage. • Hits first homer of season
Flores went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 14-3 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Flores has gone 6-for-19 (.316) with three RBI, a homer, a double, and a 3:3 BB:K over his last seven contests. It's been more of the same for Flores this year -- he began the year in a utility role, but he's earned a short-side platoon role with LaMonte Wade at first base over the first month of the campaign. The Giants have had good infield health so far, so it's unlikely Flores carves out a much larger role. He's slashing .234/.322/.325 with five extra-base hits, 12 RBI and seven runs scored across 90 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago
  • Swipes bag Saturday
Fermin was hit by a pitch in his lone plate appearance and stole a base in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss.

Advice: Fermin has received minimal playing time since his April 24 call-up from Triple-A Memphis. He's 1-for-3 with two walks and a hit-by-pitch over five contests, and the steal was his first of the season. Fermin provides cover around the infield, but he's yet to really push Nolan Gorman at second base or Masyn Winn at shortstop for more playing time. Rotowire.com Today, 9:43 am

  • Starting Sunday after all
Keith will start at second base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Keith had been in line to receive Sunday's game off with southpaw Nestor Cortes taking the hill for New York, but the rookie was a late addition to the lineup after outfielder Wenceel Perez (illness) was scratched from the starting nine. As a result of Perez's removal from the lineup, Matt Vierling will move from third base to right field, while Andy Ibanez shifts over to the hot corner to open up second base for Keith. • Strong start at Amarillo
De Los Santos was named the Texas League Player of the Month for April after leading the circuit with 32 hits, seven home runs and 58 total bases for Double-Amarillo, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: De Los Santos spent the spring with the Guardians, who selected him in the Rule 5 draft, but he did not make Cleveland's roster. The 20-year-old native of the Dominican Republic picked up at Amarillo where he left off in 2023. De Los Santos was added to the development list in 2023 following a rough start, but he crushed Double-A pitching in the second half of the season, posting a .322/.340/.596 line after July 14. The power-hitting prospect made strides at the plate while with the Guardians, developing a more "major league approach," according to Amarillo manager Tim Bogar, who feels the experience in a major-league spring training camp was helpful. To become a well-rounded prospect, De Los Santos needs to work on his defense. He played both third and first base since being signed as a 16-year-old, but the organization plans to limit him to first base only going forward. Rotowire.com Today, 9:09 am
  • Sitting in second straight game
Mead is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Mead will sit against a right-handed starting pitcher for the second time in as many days and seems to have lost hold of a regular role at second base after slashing just .218/.269/.276 through 93 plate appearances on the season. The Rays' infield picture will become more crowded if Jonathan Aranda (finger) is activated from the 10-day injured list during the upcoming week, so Mead could be sent back to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move so he can get regular playing time. • Getting rest day
Triolo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Triolo will take a seat for the series finale after he started in each of the past 11 games while getting on base at a .333 clip over that stretch. Alika Williams will step in at second base while Triolo rests Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:45 am
