    • Freddie Freeman one of six Dodgers named All-Stars
Freddie Freeman was named to his eighth National League All-Star team on Sunday.

Advice: Freeman is one of six Dodgers to be named to the National League squad. Shohei Ohtani had already been named as the league’s starting designated hitter and Tyler Glasnow was named among the pitchers on Sunday. In addition, Teoscar Hernandez, Will Smith and Mookie Betts were named to the team with Freeman as reserves. Joining them as All-Star reserves announced on Sunday were Elly De La Cruz, CJ Abrams, Ryan McMahon, Jackson Merrill, Heliot Ramos, Bryan Reynolds, Marcell Ozuna, Luis Arraez and Pete Alonso. • Brady Singer goes seven for first win since May
Brady Singer limited the Rockies to one run over seven innings and struck out seven in a victory Sunday.

Advice: Singer has allowed exactly one run in four straight outings, taking his ERA back down to 2.93. An easy stretch of the schedule has helped, though he did have the nice outing today at Coors Field. The victory is his first since May 18, as he evened his record at 5-5. Rotoworld Today, 2:46 pm
    • Homers, swipes bag in win
Kelenic went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk and two strikeouts in Sunday's win over the Phillies

Advice: Kelenic was one of three Atlanta hitters to go deep off rookie Michael Mercado in the second inning. The 24-year-old continues to be a revelation for Atlanta since they started giving him regular playing time. Kelenic hit his 10th home run of the season, and all have come in his last 49 games. He's hitting .277/.313/.500 with 25 RBI and four stolen bases in that span, and he should continue hitting leadoff with Ronald Acuna (knee) out for the season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:21 pm

    • Jarred Kelenic with another homer
Jarred Kelenic went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, a walk, and a stolen base on Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Kelenic has been a revelation since being inserted as the Braves’ lead-off hitter. He’s batting .298 with six homers, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored, and three stolen bases in 21 games as the lead-off man. On the season, his OPS is .772 which would be higher than that of any player on the Mariners. Rotoworld Today, 1:17 pm

    • Checking out of lineup Sunday
Fry is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Fry will receive a breather in the series finale after he had started in four of the Guardians' last five contests. With Fry on the bench, the Guardians will open up the designated-hitter spot for Jose Ramirez, who will cede third base to Angel Martinez. Rotowire.com Today, 10:01 am

    • Timely knock in big win
Gelof went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in a win over the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Gelof was a key part of the Athletics' astounding nine-run second inning, lacing a two-bagger to left field that plated Brent Rooker and Shea Langeliers. The 24-year-old is enduring a tougher-than-expected second big-league season after setting high expectations a rookie in 2023, but he's showing a bit of life at the plate of late with a .257 average and .794 OPS across 41 plate appearances in his last 10 games. Nevertheless, his Achilles heel continues to be consistent contact -- even during that encouraging stretch, Gelof has struck out at a bloated 39.0 percent clip. Rotowire.com Today, 8:46 am

    • Brandon Pfaadt (ankle) expected to make next start
Brandon Pfaadt (ankle) is expected to make his next scheduled start.

Advice: That according to Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo. Pfaadt left Saturday’s start against the Padres after being hit in the left ankle by a 98 mph comebacker. Lovullo did caution that the team needs to see how Pfaadt responds to the injury, however. Don’t be surprised if the Diamondbacks end up taking precautions so close to the All-Star break, but it does appear he’s avoided a serious injury. Rotoworld Today, 7:14 am
    • Expecting to make next start
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said after Saturday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Padres that Pfaadt (ankle) expects to make his next start, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Pfaadt was pulled midway through the fifth inning Saturday after he was struck in the left ankle by a 98-mile-per-hour comebacker. Fortunately for Pfaadt, X-rays returned negative and he was diagnosed with little more than a bruise, but the Diamondbacks want to check back in with the right-hander Sunday to make sure that his condition hasn't taken a turn for the worse. Pfaadt tentatively lines up to make his next turn through the Arizona rotation Thursday versus Atlanta. Rotowire.com Today, 6:56 am
    • Takes third loss in quality start
Lugo (11-3) was tagged with the loss against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Lugo allowed baserunners in five of his six innings of work but managed to limit the damage to three runs (two earned) as Kansas City's offense struggled to get any momentum going behind him. The right-hander induced 15 swings and misses on the night and has now recorded at least five strikeouts in four consecutive starts. Lugo has also posted quality starts in five straight and hasn't given up more than two runs in each of his last five outings. His 2.21 ERA on the season currently leads the majors, while his 11 wins also have him tied with Chris Sale for the league lead. Rotowire.com Today, 6:41 am
