    • Dylan Cease chased early against Mets
Dylan Cease allowed seven earned runs in just 3 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Mets. He struck out five, walked three, and was tagged with the loss.

Advice: The Mets jumped all over Cease with a four-run first inning and sent him packing before he could finish four innings. His command was poor overall and he served up meatballs to Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso that found the seats. This was only the third time this season Cease did not complete at least five innings and it’s unlikely Sunday’s start becomes part of a larger trend. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago

    • Vlad Jr. has three-hit game in win Sunday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Guerrero was 1-for-17 (.059) with one walk in his last five games. While the three hits were good to see, his power is still a concern. Guerrero’s .122 ISO is a career-low and with seven home runs so far he’s going to have to pick up the pace to even repeat the 26 home runs he hit last season.

    • Lively gives up four in loss to Blue Jays Sunday
Ben Lively allowed four runs in four innings and got the loss against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Lively gave up six hits, walked three and struck out four. He had won his last five starts. Lively had allowed two runs through the first four innings. He was removed after walking Spencer Horwitz and Davis Schneider to begin the fifth inning. Both runners scored on Daulton Varsho’s grand slam off Nick Sandlin. Lively isn’t as good as his 3.02 ERA suggests given his 4.15 xFIP. He’s benefited greatly from an 85 percent left on base percentage and that caught it up with him a little bit on Sunday. He’s still been a really good find off the waiver wire for fantasy managers. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Blue Jays at home next week.

    • Out for Game 1 of twin bill
Kepler (elbow) is out of the lineup for the opening game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Athletics.

Advice: The Twins are facing southpaw JP Sears in the first game of the day, so the lefty-hitting Kepler might not have been included in the lineup even if he wasn't nursing a sore elbow. Kepler could still be a candidate to start in the nightcap, when the Athletics will send right-hander Joey Estes to the hill. Rotowire.com Today, 11:33 am

    • IL bound with arm injury
The Dodgers placed Yamamoto (triceps) on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Advice: Yamamoto struck out a batter over two scoreless innings before he was lifted from his start in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Royals after he had experienced tightness in his right tricep while warming up prior to the game. Roberts hinted after the game that Yamamoto was likely to land on the IL, and the Dodgers have made the move official prior to Sunday's series finale. According to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, Roberts suggested that Yamamoto will be sent in for further testing Sunday before an official diagnosis for the injury and a timeline for his return is provided. • Returning from two-game absence
Cruz (ankle) will start at shortstop and bat third in Sunday's game against the Rockies, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Cruz will check back into the lineup after a sore left ankle prevented him from playing in either of the first two games of the series. The fact that the Pirates are using him at shortstop Sunday rather than deploying him at designated hitter would seem to speak to confidence in Cruz's health heading into the team's upcoming six-game week. • Oneil Cruz (ankle) back in lineup Sunday vs. COL
Oneil Cruz (ankle) is back in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Rockies.

Advice: Cruz missed two games with his sore ankle, but he’s back in the lineup for the series finale against the Rockies. The 25-year-old will hit third and play shortstop against Dakota Hudson and the Colorado pitching staff. Rotoworld Today, 11:01 am

    • Kepler out for first game of doubleheader
Max Kepler is not in the lineup for the first game of the doubleheader against the Athletics on Sunday.

Advice: Kepler is dealing with elbow soreness, and he’ll get at least the first game of the twin billing against Oakland off. It’s possible the 31-year-old wouldn’t be playing anyway with southpaw JP Sears on the mound for the A’s. Stay tuned to see if he returns for game two of the doubleheader. Rotoworld Today, 8:53 am

    • IL stint probable
Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that there is a "high probability" Yamamoto (triceps) will be placed on the 15-day injured list, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: The rookie right-hander indicated he didn't think the injury was anything serious after being pulled from Saturday's start. While Yamamoto will undergo further evaluations Sunday before an official move is made, it seems likely that the triceps tightness will require Yamamoto to miss a few starts, even if an IL move is mostly precautionary. Luckily for the Dodgers, Bobby Miller (shoulder) is set to come off the IL this week and rejoin the rotation. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm
