  • Kyle Harrison earns fourth win Saturday
    Kyle Harrison allowed three runs with four strikeouts over five innings in a win over the Rockies on Saturday.

    Advice: Harrison worked through a pair of scoreless innings before the Rockies brought three runs in to score on three hits and a walk in the third inning. He worked two more scoreless frames, ending his day after five with four strikeouts.   • Shota Imanaga goes seven scoreless vs. Pirates
    Shota Imanaga tossed seven shutout innings with seven strikeouts in a no-decision against the Pirates on Saturday.

    Advice: Imanaga was outstanding once again, scattering four hits and one walk across seven scoreless innings. He did not allow a runner to reach scoring position until the seventh inning. The Pirates would put two runners on with a pair of base hits, but Imanaga would get out of trouble with a strikeout, one of seven on the day. He was saddled with a no-decision as the Cubs were also shut down by Bailey Falter. The 30-year-old left-hander has been perhaps the best starter in baseball so far, posting a 0.84 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and a 58/9 K/BB ratio across 53 2/3 innings.   • Nabs second win
    Means (2-0) earned the win Friday over the Mariners, allowing two runs on six hits over six innings. He struck out four.

    Advice: Means got off to a rocky start, allowing a run on three hits in the first inning. However, he'd settle down and hold Seattle to just one additional run over his final five frames in an eventual 9-2 win. It was a nice bounce-back effort from Means after he gave up four runs to Arizona in just 4.2 innings his last time out. The 31-year-old southpaw lowered his ERA to 3.06 with a 0.85 WHIP and 15 strikeouts over 17.2 innings, and he has yet to issue a walk.     John Means logged a quality start in Friday evening’s victory over the Mariners, surrendering just two runs on six hits across six frames.

    Advice: The 31-year-old southpaw punched out four batters on the night and didn’t allow a base on balls. He allowed an RBI single to Mitch Garver in the first inning, then served up a solo blast to Dylan Moore in the fifth, but that was the extent of the damage done against him in this one. Means got 11 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night — eight of those on his changeup — while registering a CSW of 32 percent. Through his first three starts, he now sits at 2-0 with a 3.06 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and a 15/0 K/BB ratio over 17 2/3 innings.     Kyle Harrison will have his start pushed back until Saturday, with Mason Black taking his place on Friday evening against the Rockies.

    Advice: Giants’ manager Bob Melvin simply wanted to get Harrison and Jordan Hicks an extra day of rest, which is why he inserted Black into the team’s rotation on Friday night instead of in the spot vacated by the injured Keaton Winn (forearm).     Webb (4-4) earned the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three hits and three walks over six shutout innings while striking out five.

    Advice: Webb allowed three of the first four batters to reach base in the opening frame but managed to work his way out of the jam, getting two of the three outs by way of strikeout. The right-hander would allow just two walks and two singles from that point on en route to earning his fourth win of the season, snapping a three-game losing skid. Webb has now hurled six or more shutout innings in three of his last six starts, posting a 30:12 K:BB over that stretch. He's also logged quality starts in seven of his 10 outings this season.   • Logan Webb shuts down Dodgers over six in win
    Logan Webb tossed sixth scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

    Advice: Webb worked around some trouble to start the game, loading the bases with one out in the first inning. He struck out a batter for the second out and escaped the jam with a line out to right field. Webb scattered two walks and two hits over five more scoreless frames, striking out five on the day. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.03 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and a 47/17 K/BB ratio across 59 1/3 innings into a start against the Pirates in Pittsburgh next Wednesday.     King (3-4) took the loss against the Rockies on Wednesday, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven betters over 5.1 innings.

    Advice: King fell behind when he yielded three runs in the second inning, and San Diego's offense never put up a fight against Austin Gomber and a trio of Rockies relievers. King had been on a roll coming into Wednesday, putting up 13 scoreless frames over his previous two starts, but he's been very inconsistent this season, giving up at least four runs in four of his 10 appearances.   • Michael King hit hard in loss to Rockies
    Michael King was hit hard in Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Rockies, surrendering six runs on eight hits across his 5 1/3 innings of work.

    Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, King racked up seven strikeouts on the afternoon while issuing just two free passes. The Rockies scored three times in the second inning — including a solo blast by Brenton Doyle — then tacked on two more in the third. King settled in nicely afterwards though and kept them at bay until the sixth, where he exited after allowing single that eventually came around to score. King got 14 swings and misses on 89 pitches on the afternoon while registering a CSW of 33 percent. With extreme inconsistency on the season, he now sports a 4.31 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and a 60/26 K/BB ratio over 54 innings through his first 10 appearances (nine starts).
