    Advice: Munoz worked around a one-out single by Juan Soto to finish off the 5-4 victory. Since blowing a save in Colorado on April 21, Munoz has converted his last seven chances, allowing just one run over 13 innings during that span.   • Craig Kimbrel back in closer’s role for Orioles
    Orioles manager Brandon Hyde mostly confirmed Monday that Craig Kimbrel is again Baltimore’s closer.

    Advice: It’s no surprise after Kimbrel picked up a clean save Sunday, but confirmation is always nice. MASN’s Steve Melewski quoted Hyde as saying: “Well yeah, I think so. Probably.     Kimbrel pitched a clean ninth inning, striking out two to pick up a save Sunday against the Mariners.

    Advice: It appears Kimbrel has found his groove again, and he was rewarded with a save opportunity while posting his fourth consecutive appearance without allowing a hit or a walk. It was the first save since May 3 for Kimbrel, who had posted a 16.20 ERA and 4.50 WHIP over 3.1 innings in the six outings prior to this most recent four-game stretch.     Getting a chance to close for the first time since May 8, Craig Kimbrel struck out two in a perfect ninth Sunday against the Mariners.

    Advice: This was truly easing him back into the closer’s role; not only did he have a three-run lead, but he was getting the bottom third of the Mariners lineup. Kimbrel has allowed just one batter to reach in four scoreless innings since his May 8 outing knocked him out of the closer’s role for a spell.     Munoz allowed a run but hung on to notch his eighth save of the season in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Orioles.

    Advice: Gunnar Henderson made things interesting with a two-out, solo home run, but Munoz quickly bounced back and sat down Adley Rutschman swinging to end it.   • Andrés Muñoz closes out Orioles on Saturday
    Andrés Muñoz served up a solo home run against the Orioles in the ninth inning on Saturday, but managed to escape the frame with a one-run lead to earn his eighth save of the season.

    Advice: Muñoz came on after the Mariners scored a pair of runs in the eighth inning to take the lead, and despite the solo homer he made it stand up. He struck out Cedric Mullins and got Kyle Stowers to line out to first base to start the inning. The 25-year-old right-hander then fell behind Gunnar Henderson and served up a two-out, solo blast that pulled the Orioles to within a run. That would be as close as they would get though as he punched out Adley Rutschman to end it. Munoz now holds a 1.86 ERA to go along with eight saves and a pair of victories on the season.   • Delivers five-out save Wednesday
    Munoz gave up a hit and struck out three over 1.2 scoreless innings Wednesday to record his seventh save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Royals.

    Advice: Austin Voth ran into trouble in the eighth inning, so Munoz got the call with runners on second and third and only one out to protect a 3-1 lead. The Mariners' closer did allow an inherited runner to score, but Seattle got the run right back in the bottom of the frame and Munoz dominated the ninth. It's the fourth time this season he's worked more than one inning to notch a save, and with Matt Brash (elbow) done for the year and Gregory Santos (lat) potentially not back until the All-Star break, Munoz may have to continue putting in extra work until Seattle settles on a new setup crew.   • Blanks Nats for fourth win
    Crochet (4-4) picked up the win in Wednesday's 2-0 victory over the Nationals, giving up three hits and three walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

    Advice: The left-hander wasn't exactly efficient, tossing only 56 of 89 pitches for strikes, but Crochet lasted long enough to qualify for the win. After a rough stretch in April, the 24-year-old has allowed only three runs over his last three starts (1.59 ERA) with a stellar 24:1 K:BB in 17 innings.   • Andrés Muñoz slams door on Royals on Wednesday
    Andrés Muñoz slammed the door on the Royals on Wednesday afternoon, recording the final five outs to protect a two-run lead and earn his seventh save of the season.

    Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander came on with runners at second and third with one out in the eighth inning and the Mariners leading 4-1. He did allow a run to score as Bobby Witt Jr. grounded out to second base, but then Muñoz punched out Vinnie Pasquantino to end the threat. He returned for the ninth where he allowed a leadoff double to Salvador Perez but nothing more — finishing the frame with a pair of strikeouts.
