• Fans three in no-decision
Soroka allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three batters across 4.1 innings during Tuesday's 6-5 loss to Minnesota. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Soroka pitched extremely well to begin the game, not allowing a runner to reach base until the fourth inning. However, things fell apart in the fifth when Willi Castro lined an RBI triple to left field followed by an RBI double from Kyle Farmer, at which point Soroka was relieved with the game tied at 2-2. The 26-year-old right-hander still sports a gaudy 6.48 ERA and 1.62 WHIP through seven starts, though he's allowed four earned runs across 9.1 frames over his last two outings. Still, he remains a poor fantasy option heading into his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Today, 1:54 am
  • Gives up seven hits
Woods Richardson came away with a no-decision Tuesday against the White Sox, giving up two runs (one earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out two batters across 3.2 innings.

Advice: Woods Richardson was fortunate to only surrender two runs Tuesday after allowing nine men to reach base in less than four innings, but an Eloy Jimenez RBI single and a fielding error from Carlos Santana still put the Twins in a 2-0 hole to begin the game. Woods Richardson now carries a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP across 14.2 innings through three starts, and he will likely get a chance to improve upon his shortest outing of the season Monday against the Mariners. • Reaches six innings
Skenes allowed four hits and one walk while striking out seven across six scoreless innings Tuesday in an appearance with Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Skenes continued his impressive run with Indianapolis, as he now has a total of 41 strikeouts across 23 innings pitched while maintaining a 0.39 ERA and 0.87 WHIP. Most importantly, he reached five innings in an outing for the first time in a start this season and tossed 75 pitches. The Pirates still haven't announced plans to promote Skenes to Pittsburgh, but he should be up in relatively short order. Rotowire.com Today, 12:22 am

  • Headed to Durham for rehab
Baz (elbow) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Durham either Saturday or Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Baz has thrown in two extended spring training games, the most recent of which came Monday. The next step in his recovery will come at Triple-A Durham to build up his pitch count. There is no specific timeline for Baz to return, but it's possible that he'll be back in late May. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:59 pm

  • Could be back for weekend series
Javier (neck) could be activated from the injured list and start during Houston's weekend series against Seattle, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Javier threw a bullpen session Sunday and is expected to throw again either Wednesday or Thursday. That will likely determine his status for the weekend, though it appears that Javier will be able to avoid a rehab stint even if his absence extends later into May. • Goes five innings in rehab start
Buehler (elbow) tossed five innings in a minor-league rehab appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out five batters.

Advice: Buehler tossed 75 pitches in the outing, 11 fewer than he threw in his previous appearance. However, he completed five frames for the first time since beginning his rehab stint March 31. The right-hander's fastball topped out at 94.6 mph, so he's not quite back to the velocity he displayed prior to his Tommy John surgery in August of 2022. Nonetheless, Tuesday's start -- his sixth in the minors this season -- may have been Buehler's final step before rejoining the big-league rotation, as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts suggested prior to the outing that the hurler could make his next appearance with the big club, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. • Spencer Turnbull solid for 5 1/3 innings
Spencer Turnbull yielded two runs — one earned — in 5 1/3 innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Angels.

Advice: This will likely be Turnbull’s final start for a while, as Taijuan Walker’s return has restored the Phillies’ planned rotation. Still, Turnbull seems like a better bet than Walker going forward, and while it’s unlikely that he’d hold up over the course of 32 starts, he might be a fantasy factor again later this year. For now, he’s probably droppable in shallow mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:34 pm
  • Nabs win in matinee
Liberatore (1-1) pitched a perfect inning and struck out two batters to earn the win in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Tigers.

Advice: Liberatore bounced back from his first loss of the season Sunday with a clean outing in the eighth inning Tuesday. The Cardinals then rallied ahead in the ninth, and Ryan Helsley closed the door for a save. Liberatore has been solid with a 2.93 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 9:8 K:BB through 15.1 innings over 11 appearances as a multi-inning relief option this season. Tuesday also marked the first time in six appearances he avoided walking a batter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:32 pm
  • Landon Knack holds D-Backs to one run over five
Landon Knack surrendered just one run while working five innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Knack’s only run allowed came on a Christian Walker solo homer in the fourth inning. Outside of that the right-hander was solid against the Arizona lineup Tuesday while allowing four hits with a walk and picking up a pair of strikeouts. Knack doesn’t have elite swing-and-miss stuff, but he can throw everything for strikes and keep hitters off balance. There’s a good chance he starts next week against the Marlins, but the Dodgers haven’t yet announced another start for Knack. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:23 pm
