    • Alec Burleson collects two hits in win on Sunday
Alec Burleson went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a run scored as the Cardinals triumphed over the Cubs on Sunday evening.

Advice: Burleson smacked a one-out single off of Javier Assad in the third inning, then rode home on Paul Goldschmidt’s first two-run homer of the night. With his two-hit effort, the 25-year-old outfielder is now hitting a robust .309/.338/.460 with five long balls, 17 RBI and a pair of stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:20 pm

    • Wilyer Abreu collects three hits in Boston’s win
Wilyer Abreu went 3-for-4 with a triple Sunday as the Red Sox edged the Brewers 2-1.

Advice: Abreu benefitted from having a hit lost in the sun, but he also had a 409-foot triple to center that would have been a homer in 21 ballparks and a lineout with a .630 xBA. Abreu is batting .284/.359/.500 in 167 plate appearances, and while he’s probably overachieving somewhat, he’s certainly worth playing in mixed leagues for now. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:18 pm

    • Lars Nootbaar (hamstring) scratched from lineup
Lars Nootbaar was a late scratch from the Cardinals’ starting lineup on Sunday due to a minor hamstring injury.

Advice: Cardinals’ manager Oli Marmol told reporters that Nootbaar felt a small twinge in his hamstring during Saturday’s game. He also noted that Nootbaar could easily play through the issue, but they’re taking a cautious approach and giving him the night off just to be on the safe side. He’s considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:23 pm
    • Scratched with hamstring issue
Nootbaar was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Cubs due to a minor hamstring issue, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Manager Oliver Marmol said Nootbaar could easily play through the hamstring issue, which popped up Saturday, but they will play it safe. Matt Carpenter was added to the lineup at designated hitter, batting fifth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:16 pm
    • Brent Rooker gets day off Sunday vs. Astros
Brent Rooker is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Astros.

Advice: Rooker doesn’t get many days of rest, but the 29-year-old will take a seat against Ronel Blanco and the Astros. Kyle McCann will instead operate as the Athletics’ designated hitter. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:33 pm

    • Getting rare day off
Rooker is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Rooker will hit the bench for the first time since May 1, ending a stretch of 22 consecutive starts during which he posted an excellent 1.062 OPS. With Rooker out of the lineup, Kyle McCann will get a turn as the Athletics' designated hitter. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:18 pm

    • Hits go-ahead blast
Santander went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-3 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Santander put the Orioles ahead with the second of their three homers in the eighth inning. He's gone 3-for-15 with two homers and four RBI over his last four contests. The outfielder is up to a .205/.284/.432 slash line with nine long balls, 29 RBI, 25 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 197 plate appearances. Santander started three of the last four games in right field before resting his legs as the designated hitter Saturday, so it looks like he's moved past the bruised knee that bothered him earlier in the week. • Homers again Saturday
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: He touched up Walker Buehler in the first inning to give the Reds an early lead. As Mark Sheldon of MLB.com notes, Steer has now gone deep in back-to-back games after entering the series without a homer since May 1 (17 games). His struggles from the middle of the order this month have led the Reds to the cellar in the NL Central, though it's certainly not all his fault. Steer sits with a .227/.341/.403 line with six homers, 35 RBI, 25 runs scored and 11 steals through 50 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:50 am

    • Timely double in win
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a two-run double and a walk in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Rooker opened the scoring with his timely first-inning double, plating JJ Bleday and Abraham Toro to give the Athletics the early lead. Rooker has now reached safely in seven straight games, a stretch where he's posted four multi-hit efforts and driven in six runs. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:14 pm
