    • Wilyer Abreu has three hits in win over Giants
Wilyer Abreu went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and an RBI in a win over the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Abreu had the hardest hit ball of the day with a 114.4 mph triple in the fourth inning and then also added a 95.8 mph double in the third inning. The 24-year-old is now slashing .316/.391/.526 with 12 RBI and has been one of the better hitters in fantasy baseball since becoming an everyday player in Boston. While he will likely cool down at some point, his minor league track record points to a power/speed profile that should be useful in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:56 pm
    • Tanner Scott picks up extra-innings win
Tanner Scott allowed one run (no earned) on one hit and one walk in one inning while getting the win in a 7-6 extra-innings win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Scott got two quick outs in the top of the 10th innings but then allowed a double to Ryan McMahon which scored the ghost runner. He then issued an intentional walk before getting another strikeout to end the inning. He would pick up with win when the Marlins scored twice in the bottom of the inning. It’s never easy with Scott but at least the walk tonight was intentional. The Marlins are clearly planning to keep him as their closer, so he deserves to be on your fantasy roster, even if you want to bench him to see if he can work his command issues out. • Another multi-hit game
Abreu went 3-for-4 with a walk, double, triple, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-0 win over San Francisco.

Advice: Abreu is swinging a productive bat; this was his fifth multi-hit game over the last 10 contests, during which he's 18-for-41 with nine extra-base hits, 10 RBI and eight runs scored. Much of that production has come as the cleanup batter, a spot that had been filled by Triston Casas prior to the oblique injury that landed him on the 60-day injured list. • Resting Tuesday
Cruz isn't in the Pirates' lineup Tuesday against the Athletics, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Cruz is slashing .094/.121/.094 against left-handed pitchers this season, so he will get a day off with Alex Wood set to take the mound for Oakland. Alika Williams will take his place at shortstop while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:29 pm

    • Reinstated for Tuesday's start
The Padres activated Darvish (neck) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Tuesday against the Reds.

Advice: The veteran right-hander has been sidelined the past couple weeks with neck tightness, but he'll rejoin San Diego's rotation Tuesday after a minimum-length stay on the injured list. Darvish posted a 4.18 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 22:10 K:BB across 23.2 innings through his first five starts of the season, and he could have some minor workload limitations in his first outing back with the Friars. • Padres activate Yu Darvish for start vs. Reds
Padres activated RHP Yu Darvish from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Darvish returns following a brief two-week absence due to neck tightness. The 37-year-old right-hander will take the ball on Tuesday night against the Reds. He holds an underwhelming 4.18 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 22/10 K/BB ratio across 23 2/3 innings (five starts) this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:34 pm

    • Halts skid
Gurriel went 1-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Gurriel doubled in the fifth inning to snap an 0-for-15 slide and eventually came around to score on a wild pitch. The outfielder is slashing .265/.312/.444 with five home runs and a team-high 22 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:20 am
    • Notches two more thefts
Acuna went 1-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases Monday in a loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Acuna's wheels were key in the production of Atlanta's only run, as the star outfielder began the seventh inning by reaching on an infield single, subsequently stole both second and third base, and came around to score on an Ozzie Albies double. Acuna also struck out three times in the contest, and he's now fanned multiple times in three straight games, but fantasy managers are likely to mostly ignore that as long as he continues to run wild on the basepaths. Acuna began the campaign with just one steal through his first nine games, but he's since racked up 12 steals over his subsequent 18 contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:53 pm

    • Fires six hitless frames
Fried pitched six scoreless and hitless innings against Seattle on Monday, walking two batters and striking out seven in a no-decision.

Advice: Fried was dominant in the outing, racking up 15 swinging strikes and allowing just two baserunners, both of whom reached via walk. However, he didn't get a chance to try to extend his no-hit bid beyond the sixth frame because he needed 100 pitches just to get that deep. Still, he was in line for the victory until A.J. Minter gave up a walk-off homer to Mitch Garver in the ninth frame. Fried began the campaign with two poor starts but has turned things around since, tossing three quality starts among his past four outings. He hasn't given up any runs across 15 frames over his past two starts. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:47 pm
