    • Records 10th steal Friday
Moore went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in a win over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: One night after striking out four times in his return from a brief paternity leave, Moore made contact on all four plate appearances and followed his one hit with his 10th steal of the season. The veteran's swipe locked in his fifth double-digit tally in that category across six big-league seasons, but the knock was only his fifth across 38 plate appearances in June. • Sitting out Saturday
Busch is absent from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Right-hander Andre Pallante is starting for the Cardinals and has reverse splits, so Busch will begin this one on the bench. Cody Bellinger is handling first base and Pete Crow-Armstrong will patrol center field. Rotowire.com Today, 8:33 am

    • Max Scherzer to make rehab start Saturday at Triple-A
Max Scherzer (thumb) will make a minor league rehab start on Saturday for Triple-A Round Rock.

Advice: Scherzer appears to be close to making it back for the defending World Series champions after suffering a thumb-related setback during his rehabilitation process from offseason back surgery. The 39-year-old veteran righty continue building up his pitch count and stamina in this outing and should be ready to make his season debut by the end of the month. Rotoworld Today, 7:39 am

    • Jack Flaherty starting Saturday against Astros
Jack Flaherty (back) will start on Saturday against the Astros.

Advice: As expected, Flaherty will take the ball this weekend against Houston’s high-powered offense after receiving a couple extra days of rest to address a back issue that cropped up during his previous start on June 4 against the Rangers. The 28-year-old righty has been magnificent this season in his Tigers debut and will aim to keep things rolling in this one. Rotoworld Today, 6:22 am

    • Strikes out seven in win
Castillo (6-7) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Castillo received an extra day of rest after Emerson Hancock got a spot start in Thursday's series finale versus the White Sox. It looks like that was a good move, as Castillo was able to bounce back from his worst start of the year to earn his third quality start in his last four outings. The right-hander limited the Rangers' offense to the first inning, when he gave up both runs and three of the four hits on his line. Castillo is now at a 3.32 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 92:24 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 15 starts. He's projected for a challenging road matchup versus the Guardians next week. • Delivers quality start
Ragans allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Ragans had just one bad inning -- he gave up a two-run home run to Miguel Rojas and a solo shot to Chris Taylor in the fifth. Aside from that, it was smooth sailing for Ragans, who earned his fifth quality start in his last six outings, though he has just two wins in that span. The Royals' ace is now at a 3.14 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 102:26 K:BB over 86 innings across 15 starts this season. He's given up more than three runs just twice, with both of those games being seven-run mishaps, so he's often been even more dominant than his surface stats would suggest. Ragans is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Athletics. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:04 pm
    • Luis Castillo holds Rangers to two runs over six
Luis Castillo struck out seven after six innings of two-run baseball against the Rangers on Friday while picking up a win.

Advice: Castillo scuffled in the first inning, allowing a pair of RBI singles. After that, the right-hander was excellent while keeping the Rangers off the board over the next five frames. The six strong innings see him lower his ERA on the campaign to 3.32 with a 92/24 K/BB. Castillo’s next chance to pitch is scheduled for Thursday against the Guardians in Cleveland. • Cole Ragans holds Dodgers to three over seven
Cole Ragans picked up no-decision after allowing three runs in seven innings of work against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Ragans struck out four and walked one. He scattered six hits allowed, but two of those were homers from Miguel Rojas and Chris Taylor. Even with the roundtrippers it’s another quality outing from the 26-year-old, albeit one that doesn’t come with many strikeouts nor a win. Ragans is back on the bump with a very friendly on-paper matchup next week against the A’s. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm
    • Colt Keith collects two hits in loss to Astros
Colt Keith went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles as the Tigers were shut out by the Astros on Friday evening in Houston.

Advice: As a team, the Tigers were only able to muster five total hits against Hunter Brown and company on Friday night, with Keith the only member of the squad to have more than one. The 22-year-old’s bat has started to heat up after a miserable start to his MLB career, but he’s still slashing an underwhelming .222/.273/.284 with just two homers, 19 RBI and three stolen bases in 60 games on the season.
