    • Breaks RBI drought
Carroll went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 11-4 win over San Diego.

Advice: Carroll delivered a two-run single as part of Arizona's four-run first inning, snapping a 16-game drought without an RBI. He's hit in five of the last six games (6-for-22), which is a positive sign for the slumping outfielder, but Carroll's bat still lacks impact. Through 33 games, he has seven RBI, four extra-base hits and a .250 slugging percentage. Rotowire.com Today, 5:32 am
    • Slams door for 11th save
Finnegan walked one batter during one scoreless inning to pick up the save Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Finnegan has not allowed an earned run over his last 13 appearances and converted his 10th straight save opportunity for the surprising Nationals, who moved to .500 on the season with the win. Finnegan now carries a 1.88 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with his 11 total saves, matching Clay Holmes and Ryan Helsley for the major-league lead in that department. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:30 pm
    • Spencer Torkelson has two doubles, RBI in loss
Spencer Torkelson went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI as the Tigers fell to the Yankees on Sunday afternoon in New York.

Advice: Torkelson smacked a two-out double off of Nestor Cortes in the second inning, but was left stranded there. He then got the Tigers on the board with a run-scoring double off of Ian Hamilton in the seventh inning. He’s still searching for his first home run of the season, but he does have 11 doubles and perhaps his bat is finally showing some signs of life. On the season, he’s slashing .216/.283/.304 with 12 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:05 pm
    • Resting against lefty
Outman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Outman is one of three lefty-hitting regulars, along with Max Muncy and Gavin Lux, who will hit the bench while southpaw Max Fried takes the hill for Atlanta. Chris Taylor will pick up a start in the outfield with Outman checking out of the lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:25 pm

    • Out of Sunday's lineup
Martinez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.

Advice: Manager Carlos Mendoza will continue the trend of sitting Martinez for the series finale, which is now the case for the third straight series since the veteran slugger made his season debut April 26. DJ Stewart will bat fifth as the designated hitter Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:13 am

    • J.D. Martinez gets Sunday off against Rays
J.D. Martinez is not in the lineup for Sunday’s tilt with the Rays.

Advice: Martinez went 1-for-8 over the first two games of the series and is hitting .267 with a .624 OPS thus far in his limited action. He’ll get a day off with DJ Stewart hitting fifth as the designated hitter for the Mets on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:55 am

    • Two hits, stolen base in loss
Marte went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: Marte drove in the Mets' only run of the game with an RBI single following a leadoff double from Brandon Nimmo in the top of the first inning. The right fielder added another single and a walk in the contest while also swiping his seventh bag of the season. Marte has struggled a bit at the plate as of late and is batting just .188 (3-for-16) in May. However, he's also tallied multiple hits in five of his last 11 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:44 am

    • Tosses eight scoreless frames
Gilbert (3-0) earned the win in Saturday's 5-0 victory over Houston, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out six batters over eight scoreless innings.

Advice: Gilbert tied a season-high mark with four walks, but that didn't hurt him since he gave up just a pair of hits (both singles). The right-hander notched his fifth straight quality start and lowered his season ERA to 1.69, fifth lowest among qualified MLB pitchers. Gilbert also ranks fifth among qualified starters with a 0.79 WHIP and has registered a 50:13 K:BB through 48 innings on the campaign. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:27 pm

    • Starling Marte has two hits, steals base in loss
Starling Marte went 2-for-3 with an RBI and also stole a base on Saturday in the Mets’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: Marte was one of the few bright spots for the Mets in this one as they managed just six hits combined against Rays starter Zack Littell and a trio of relievers. It’s still early, but the 35-year-old veteran outfielder has looked rejuvenated this season, batting .275/.313/.408 with 16 runs scored, four homers, 15 RBI and seven steals in 129 plate appearances.
