      Fried (2-1) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out seven over seven innings.

      Advice: Fried quickly surrendered a two-run homer to Shohei Ohtani in the opening frame. He was able to settle in thereafter, blanking the Dodgers over the next four innings before Teoscar Hernandez got a hold of one in the sixth to make it a 4-0 ballgame. Sunday was Fried's first outing this year giving up multiple home runs, but he's also gone at least six innings in three straight while striking out at least six in all three appearances.       Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Hernandez homered for the second time in three games and has tallied at least a hit in 10-of-12 games since April 23. The 31-year-old is slashing .252/.320/.468 with eight homers, 25 RBI, 23 runs and a 13:49 BB:K in 153 plate appearances. Hernandez is showing increased signs of power from a year ago but strikeouts still remain an issue.     • Report: Tanner Scott could be next Marlin traded
      According to Buster Olney, sources told him that Tanner Scott is “the guy on their roster you’d look at” but Josh Bell could also interest teams as well.

      Advice: After the Marlins traded Luis Arraez this weekend, assuming a firesale would follow was only logical. Scott was electric as the closer for the Marlins last year, but has seen some control issues resurface this season. He has a 2.77 ERA and four saves, but he also has 14 walks in 13 innings. If he were to be traded, he would likely serve as a setup man, and the Marlins could turn back to A.J. Puk in the closer’s role which means Puk could be worth a speculative add in leagues.       Advice: Estrada gave the Giants some late life with a two-run blast in the seventh off Taijuan Walker, which ultimately knocked him from the game. The 28-year-old is riding a five-game hit streak and has six RBI over his last four games.       Santander went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over Cincinnati.

      Advice: Santander already had a nice multi-hit performance in the bag before capping his day off with a ninth-inning grand slam in the blowout victory. It was his fifth long ball of the year and first since April 17, snapping a 15-game drought. He posted a .505 OPS over his previous 13 games since his last multi-hit effort April 20.       Anthony Santander went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and five RBI in an 11-1 win over the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: It was only a matter of time before Santander started to get hot. The 29-year-old took Emilio Pagan deep for a three-run shot in the eighth innings that went 402 feet and left the bat at 104 mph. He also had a 107.3 mph single and 98.3 mph single on the day. He’s slashing .218/.295/.427 on the season with five home runs and 23 RBI. If you can, now would still be the time to try and trade for Santander before he really gets hot.       Max Fried allowed four runs on four hits in seven innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

      Advice: Fried pitched well enough on the day, striking out seven and walking three while posting a 20 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. He didn’t have his best command and had a zone rate under 50 percent on the day, but he avoided major damage until giving up a two-run home run to Teoscar Hernandez in the sixth inning.       Skubal did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits over six innings against the Yankees. He struck out 12.

      Advice: Skubal continues to dominate, as the 12 strikeouts were a season high and marked the first double-digit strikeout effort of the campaign for the ace lefty. It was the sixth time in seven games Skubal has allowed two or fewer earned runs, as the outing raised his ERA to 1.90 with a 0.77 WHIP and 53 strikeouts over 42.2 innings.
