• Gets another start Wednesday
Urias will start at third base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Urias will stick in the lineup for the seventh time in eight games, but most of his playing time came while infielders J.P. Crawford (oblique) and Jorge Polanco (hamstring) were both out with injuries. Crawford and Polanco are both starting Wednesday, but the Mariners will have room in the lineup for Urias with the left-handed-hitting Josh Rojas hitting the bench against Yankees southpaw Nestor Cortes. Assuming both Crawford and Polanco are in the clear to handle everyday roles moving forward, Urias looks like he'll be relegated to the short side of a platoon with Rojas. Rotowire.com Today, 2:04 pm

  • On bench against lefty
Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: With lefty Nestor Cortes on the mound for the Yankees, the lefty-hitting Rojas will retreat to the bench after he had started in each of the Mariners' last eight games. Luis Urias will pick up a start at third base in Rojas' stead. Rotowire.com Today, 2:01 pm

  • Andrés Giménez laces three-run homer in victory
Andrés Giménez hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth Wednesday in the Guardians’ 6-3 defeat of the Mets.

Advice: The Mets took a 3-0 lead in the fourth today, but the Guardians did all of the scoring after that. The homer off Jose Quintana was Giménez’s fourth of the year. He’s still not hitting the ball like he did two years ago, but that his strikeout rate is down to 14% has helped him bat .266 and hitting second for the Guardians has given him a nice boost in runs scored (28) and RBI (30). • Getting breather Wednesday
Kim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Though double-play partner Xander Bogaerts will be in store for a long-term absence after he was diagnosed Wednesday with a fractured shoulder, Kim's absence from the lineup appears to be little more than a maintenance day. Tyler Wade will cover shortstop in Kim's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 1:52 pm

  • Back in Seattle lineup
Polanco (hamstring) will start at second base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Polanco missed more than a week with a right hamstring injury, though he has been available off the bench for a couple days. The switch-hitter is sporting a disappointing .192/.298/.308 in his first season with the Mariners. Rotowire.com Today, 1:41 pm

  • Out indefinitely with broken shoulder
The Padres placed Bogaerts on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a fractured left shoulder.

Advice: Bogaerts suffered the injury on an awkward dive Monday in Atlanta. According to Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune, the infielder doesn't appear to be dealing with any damage to his labrum and will avoid surgery, but he'll need significant down time for the shoulder to heal. Bogaerts intends to play again this season, perhaps by the latter part of the summer. With Bogaerts out indefinitely, Luis Arraez is likely to move off designated hitter and see more consistent playing time at second base. Rotowire.com Today, 1:32 pm

  • Bogaerts out two months with fractured shoulder
Padres placed INF Xander Bogaerts on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left shoulder.

Advice: Ouch. Bogaerts sustained the injury while diving for a ball during the first game of Monday’s doubleheader. He’s expected to miss at least two months while recovering from the injuy. Luis Arraez is covering second base on Wednesday and will probably see additional action there while Bogaerts is shelved. David Peralta was promoted from Triple-A El Paso to take his place on the Padres’ active roster on Wednesday. Rotoworld Today, 1:18 pm

  • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) returns to M’s lineup
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) finally returned to the Mariners’ starting lineup on Wednesday after missing seven consecutive games.

Advice: The 30-year-old second baseman had been available off the bench the previous two games, but wasn’t used. He’ll hit seventh against left-hander Nestor Cortes and the Yankees on Wednesday evening in New York. Rotoworld Today, 1:09 pm

  • Retaining regular role at keystone
Lopez will start at second base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Lopez will stick in the lineup for the 11th game in a row, with his starting assignments Tuesday and Wednesday being especially notable in light of Tim Anderson's return from the injured list earlier in the week. Vidal Brujan has been on the bench for both games since Anderson stepped back in as the Marlins' everyday shortstop, signaling that manager Skip Schumaker is content to stick with Lopez at the keystone while the 25-year-old is wielding a hot bat. Through 16 games thus far in May, Lopez is slashing .310/.362/.524 with two home runs, two stolen bases, 10 RBI and six runs. Rotowire.com Today, 1:01 pm
