    • Iglesias earns ninth save in win over Red Sox
Rasiel Iglesias earned his ninth save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Iglesias retired all three batters he faced to earn his ninth save of the season and help snap the Braves’ three-game skid. It was a much-needed win over a beatable team after the Braves dropped all three games on the road against the Dodgers, as Iglesias is now 9-for-11 in save opportunities on the season. • José Berríos coughs up 8 runs in loss to Phillies
José Berríos allowed eight runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Phillies on Tuesday.

Advice: Berríos was able to strike out seven on the day, compared to just two walks, and he allowed just three hard-hit balls all day. However, that led to four extra-base hits and two home runs, so the Phillies made the most of their contact. Berríos was able to post a solid 27 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW on the day and allowed an average exit velocity of 90.4 mph, but he put himself in tough spots by throwing just 42 percent of his pitches in the strike zone. All in all, it feels like more of an off night for Berríos than the sign of any major regression. He now has a 2.85 ERA on the season and will get another tough test against the Orioles next week. • Corbin Carroll homers, drives in five 5 in win
Corbin Carroll went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and five RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: This was a much-needed big game for Carroll, who is still slashing just .211/.300/.278 on the season with two home runs and 12 RBI. The home run was well-struck at 104.3 mph off the bat and traveling 390 feet. While that’s great, it was the only ball on the day that Carroll hit over 87 mph. It doesn’t make sense to trade Carroll away while his value is so low, but we’ll need to see more consistent quality contact before we can be sure he’s fully healthy or ready for a hot stretch. However, it is nice to see him back to hitting leadoff, which would be important for his fantasy value. Rotoworld Today, 6:29 pm
    • Rutschman extends hit streak to five in loss
Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 in the Orioles’ 3-0 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Offense was hard to come by for the Orioles in this one, as Rutschman’s hit was one of just three the Birds recorded on the evening. The real story of the night was the Nationals pitching, as starter Trevor Williams struck out eight batters over five innings while the bullpen notched four more K’s. Rutschman has now hit safely in five straight games and is 8-for-25 at the plate in the month of May. Rotoworld Today, 6:20 pm

    • Kodai Senga to throw another bullpen this week
Kodai Senga (shoulder) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session this week.

Advice: Senga faced hitters over the weekend in a live batting practice session and could do so again in the coming days before heading out on a minor league rehab assignment. The 31-year-old righty isn’t expected to make his season debut until late May or early June, barring something unexpected. Rotoworld Today, 5:04 pm

    • D-backs activate Paul Sewald for Tuesday return
Diamondbacks activated RHP Paul Sewald from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Sewald has been sidelined since the beginning of the regular season with a left oblique strain. The 33-year-old veteran, who finished with a 3.12 ERA, 1.15 WHIP with both the Mariners and Diamondbacks last season, will slide back as the D-backs’ closer which puts an end to Kevin Ginkel’s brief stint in the role. • Officially back from injured list
The Diamondbacks reinstated Sewald (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: The 33-year-old right-hander has been sidelined by an oblique strain but is ready to rejoin the team following three rehab appearances. Manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Sewald will immediately reclaim the closer role, per Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic. Kevin Ginkel -- who has tallied five saves with a 2.57 ERA in 14 appearances -- will return to a setup role. Rotowire.com Today, 12:39 pm
    • Moves up to leadoff spot Tuesday
Carroll will start in center field and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

Advice: It's the first time since April 22 that Carroll has hit higher than seventh. The reigning National League Rookie of the Year did have two base knocks and two RBI in Monday's game, his first multi-hit effort since April 19. Rotowire.com Today, 12:34 pm
    • Playing catch
Eovaldi (groin) was seen playing catch ahead of Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Manager Bruce Bochy provided a positive update Monday with news that the right-hander isn't dealing with a sports hernia, and Eovaldi is back to playing catch a day later. Barring any sort of setback, the 34-year-old could be good to go without needing a rehab assignment once he clears the 15-day IL on May 18. In the meantime, Jose Urena and Jack Leiter will be deployed as starters when necessary. Rotowire.com Today, 11:41 am
