• Connor Wong collects four hits versus Cardinals
Connor Wong finished 4-for-5 with an RBI against the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Statcast thinks Wong has been one of the game’s most fortunate hitters this year, but the luck shows no signs of stopping. His exit velocity numbers remain mediocre, but he has shown some legitimate improvement in terms of contact ability. With the Red Sox hitting him third of late, he’s a top-12 catcher for the moment. • Smacks homer in loss
Stephenson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Stephenson has four multi-hit efforts over his last five games, and each of those two-hit games has included one knock for extra bases. His homer Friday was his second of the month and fifth of the season. The catcher is up to a .264/.342/.472 slash line with 14 RBI, 18 runs scored, one stolen base and seven doubles through 120 plate appearances on the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm
  • Tyler Stephenson hits solo bomb in loss to Dodgers
Tyler Stephenson hit a solo homer while going 2-for-4 in a loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Stephenson has his fifth homer of the year with his solo shot off James Paxton; one of two the Reds were able to get against Paxton in the loss. So far in May the catcher has registered an .820 OPS, and this makes four straight games for the backstop with extra-base hits. Solid. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:40 pm
  • Three hits in win
Perez went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Perez opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and got one base three more times in Friday's victory. The veteran catcher is batting .294 (15-for-51) with seven extra-base hits and eight RBI contests in May. That's actually down from his overall numbers -- Perez is slashing a stellar .335/.403/.557 with eight home runs, 34 RBI, 18 runs scored and 11 doubles over 176 plate appearances. He last hit above .300 for a full season in the abbreviated 2020 campaign, so there is a high risk that he cools off eventually in 2024, but he's been excellent over the first quarter of the season. • Drives in run in return
Garver (back) went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in a loss to the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: Garver was back in the lineup after missing the last two games with back spasms, and he delivered the first run of the contest with his first-inning single. The veteran offseason addition now has seven RBI in May and has reached safely in eight of the last 10 games, but he's still carrying an abysmal .176/.286/.344 slash line across 147 plate appearances on the season. • Knocks four hits
Wong went 4-for-5 with an RBI double in Friday's loss to St. Louis.

Advice: Wong continues to impress in 2024 as he's up to 11 multi-hit efforts in his first 30 games. It was his first four-hit game since April 24 and bumped his season slash line up to .362/.389/.552 with 10 extra-base hits and 16 RBI. Through 11 games this month, Wong has gone 15-for-38 (.394) with four multi-hit games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:02 pm
  • Belts 10th homer Friday
Langeliers went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and two walks in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Advice: It was such a miserable offensive night for the Athletics that Langeliers' 421-foot two-run blast came with Oakland just one out away from a shutout. The backstop was productive throughout the night while reaching safely on three occasions overall, and he's now hitting a stellar .368 (14-for-38) with four home runs and 13 RBI across his last 11 contests. • Diagnosed with bruised head
D'Arnaud was diagnosed with a head contusion after leaving Friday's game against the Padres in the sixth inning, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: D'Arnaud reported dizziness after taking a foul ball off his facemask during the fifth inning. Manager Brian Snitker said that d'Arnaud passed all the initial tests for a potential concussion, but the team will evaluate him again Saturday before making a decision on his status going forward. • Pops fourth homer
Fry went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Twins.

Advice: Fry put Cleveland ahead with his 364-foot, two-run home run in the sixth inning off reliever Steven Okert. The 28-year-old utility man has been especially hot since the calendar turned to May, hitting .366 (11-for-30) this month. Over 95 plate appearances this season, Fry is slashing .333/.453/.560 with four homers, 15 runs scored and 14 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:46 pm
