      Advice: The Nationals only had three hits on the afternoon, so while Abrams was busy on the basepaths, his efforts couldn't generate any offense. The 23-year-old shortstop had been slumping heading into June, but he wrapped up the month with a dazzling .373/.464/.663 slash line in 97 plate appearances, adding four of his 13 homers on the season and six of his 14 steals.       According to The Athletic’s Will Sammon Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Tylor Megill will “continue to make starts in Triple A.”

      Advice: Mets was sent down to the minors on Sunday after posting a 5.08 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and a 49/19 K/BB ratio across 39 innings over his eight starts. There has been some discussion that he would profile better as a reliever but it seems that, for now, the Mets plan to keep working him as a starter in the hopes he can help their rotation later in the season.     • Another shaky outing Sunday
      Irvin (6-5) took the loss against the Rangers on Sunday, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings.

      Advice: Irvin served up a two-run blast to Derek Hill in the second and was chased out of the game in the fourth after surrendering a triple, three singles and a walk, leading to three more runs for the Rangers. He's now failed to cover at least five innings in three straight starts and has given up 14 runs over that span while compiling just a 5:4 K:BB in his last 12.1 innings pitched. Irvin now owns a 4.13 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 56:17 K:BB in 80.2 innings this season. He's lined up for a start against the Athletics this weekend, though it's worth monitoring what manager Brandon Hyde decides to do with his rotation spot following his recent struggles with Dean Kremer (triceps) on the cusp of returning from a rehab assignment.       Paul Sewald struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Sunday against the Athletics.

      Advice: It was a non-save situation, with Arizona leading by four runs entering the final frame, but Sewald remained locked-in nonetheless, needing just 13 pitches (11 strikes) to end the game. The 34-year-old righty has reeled off 17 consecutive scoreless appearances since giving up one run back on May 7 in his season debut. He’s converted all 11 of his save chances this season and boasts a microscopic 0.54 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and 15/3 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings (18 appearances).       Advice: Devers gave his team an early lead with his first-inning blast, his fourth homer in his last five games. The Red Sox slugger has broken out of a slump in which he hit only one home run over 15 games. Devers now has 14 extra-base hits and a 1.027 OPS in June, both leading all MLB third basemen.       Advice: The Nationals offense was quiet in this one despite Abrams’ knack for getting on base. This was the second time in five games Abrams drew multiple walks and his walk total for June got up 11. That’s a welcome sight after he walked just one time the entire month of May.       Advice: As expected, Megill will return to the minors after he was knocked around for six earned runs over 5.1 innings in Saturday's 9-6 loss to Houston. Over his five starts in June, the right-hander turned in a 7.43 ERA and 1.74 WHIP across 23 innings.
