    • Two hits, including homer in win
Devers went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: After opening the game 0-for-3, Devers singled and later came around to score in the top of the eighth inning before launching a two-run home run off Jay Jackson in the following frame. The long ball was his fourth of the season and his first in 10 games. Since returning from a bone bruise in his left knee April 24, Devers has batted .415 with two homers, seven RBI and eight runs scored over 41 at-bats in 11 contests. • James McArthur blows save in ninth, loses in 10th
James McArthur took a blown save and a loss after allowing two runs — one earned — between the ninth and 10th innings Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: McArthur blew the save by giving up a game-tying homer to Jonah Heim in the ninth. In spite of that, the Royals stuck with him in the 10th. He allowed only the automatic runner to score, but the Royals couldn’t let him off the hook from there. It’s not the kind of outing that will reflect particularly badly on him. He’s still 7-for-9 saving games, and the loss was his first. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago
    • Blown save, loss versus Texas
McArthur (1-1) blew a save and picked up the loss after he pitched two innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning defeat to the Rangers.

Advice: McArthur entered the game with the Royals up 2-1 in the top of the ninth inning, giving up a game-tying solo home run to Jonah Heim with one out in the inning. He later returned for the top of the 10th frame, allowing the inherited runner to score on an RBI single by Nathaniel Lowe. The blown save was McArthur's second in nine total save opportunities this season and he currently possesses a 2.87 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 18 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in 13 appearances this season. • Bryce Miller gives up two homers to Astros
Bryce Miller surrendered four runs in six innings Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Jon Singleton and Kyle Tucker both hit two-run homers off Miller, but this was still hardly a disaster. He’s really been great at limiting the damage in his worse starts this season, and he’s allowed a total of two earned runs in his four good outings, leaving him with a 2.61 ERA in 41 1/3 innings to date. • Stepping out of lineup
Soler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Soler started the past 11 games but will sit Sunday after going 5-for-38 during that stretch. Wilmer Flores will bat third as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 1:36 pm
    • Receiving breather Sunday
O'Neill is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: O'Neill started the previous eight games and will receive a day off after he posted a .924 OPS and 36.1 percent strikeout rate during that span. Rob Refsnyder will man left field against Minnesota righty Joe Ryan. Rotowire.com Today, 10:13 am

Perez was scratched from the lineup Sunday against the Yankees due to an illness, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Perez was penciled in for his seventh consecutive start but will instead hit the bench due to an illness. He should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Cleveland. Rotowire.com Today, 9:02 am

    • Throws in XST
Sewald (oblique) threw an inning in an extended spring training game Saturday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Sewald came out of the session feeling good, and if he continues to respond to activity the same way, the Diamondbacks plan to activate him for the series opener against the Reds on Tuesday. He's expected to resume his role as the team's closer after saving 13 of 15 opportunities following his acquisition from Seattle at the trade deadline in 2023. Rotowire.com Today, 8:48 am
