      Mark Vientos smashed his seventh home run of the season on Sunday night as the Mets took care of business against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

      Advice: The 24-year-old third baseman demolished a 451-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Tyson Miller in the eighth inning that extended the Mets’ lead to 5-2.     • Javier Assad gives up four runs in loss to Mets
      Javier Assad wasn’t at his best in Sunday’s loss to the Mets, surrendering four runs on seven hits across his 4 1/3 innings of work.

      Advice: Assad walked one batter on the evening and did not record a single strikeout. Most of the damage done against him came via the long ball, as Francisco Lindor crushed a two-run homer in the third inning and Brandon Nimmo followed with a solo shot. The Mets also scratched out a run while chasing Assad in the fifth. Assad got just three swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent.       Diaz was ejected from Sunday's game against the Cubs for the use of an illegal substance following an inspection from the crew chief, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.

      Advice: Diaz failed the "sticky substance" check upon entering the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with the Mets up 5-2. If MLB concurs with the crew chief's assessment, Diaz will receive an automatic 10-game suspension, so the Mets may be without their closer for some time. Expect a decision on a suspension to be announced before the Mets' next game Tuesday versus the Yankees.       Jackson Chourio went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored as the Brewers triumphed over the Padres in San Diego on Sunday afternoon.

      Advice: The 20-year-old outfielder wasn’t even in the Brewers’ starting lineup for this one, but still managed to have a strong day at the dish. He entered as a pinch-hitter for Tyler Black in the seventh inning, where he singled to right and came around to score on an RBI single off the bat of Jake Bauers. Chourio also doubled off of Jhony Brito in the ninth inning, but was stranded at third. He’s now slashing .230/.278/.362 with seven homers, 27 RBI and eight stolen bases on the season.
