    • Idle against lefty
Fraley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Fraley and fellow lefty hitter Will Benson will head to the bench Wednesday while southpaw Jordan Montgomery toes the slab for Arizona. Luke Maile and Stuart Fairchild will join the lineup as the starters at designated hitter and in right field, respectively, while Fraley and Benson sit. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

    • Getting Wednesday off
Chourio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Chourio is hitting .357 with one stolen base over his first five games of May, but he's still slashing just .193/.233/.263 overall since April 16 and has seen his job security slip a bit as a result. The rookie will find himself on the bench Wednesday for the third time in seven games. Rotowire.com Today, 10:01 am
    • Nick Castellanos finally collects first double
Nick Castellanos doubled, singled and walked twice versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Each time it looks like Castellanos might be turning the corner, he’s gone right back to slumping the next day. Still, this rates as his best game so far this season. The double was hit 389 feet and would have been a homer in nine ballparks. Incredibly, it was the first two-bagger of the year for a guy who once had 58 of them. He finished with 37 last season. • Jackson Chourio goes hitless in loss to Cubs
Jackson Chourio went 0-for-2 and was pinch-hit for in the seventh inning as the Brewers were shut out by the Cubs on Sunday afternoon.

Advice: The 20-year-old phenom fouled out to first base in the third inning and bounced into a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning. While he has shown flashes of greatness, it has been a struggle overall through his first 30 games — slashing a troublesome .219/.265/.352 with four homers, 13 RBI, six stolen bases and a 35/7 K/BB ratio over 114 plate appearances. It seems like the Brewers are content sticking with him and letting him take his lumps at the big league level, but if the struggles continue at this rate, eventually something may have to give. • Out of Sunday's lineup
Martinez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.

Advice: Manager Carlos Mendoza will continue the trend of sitting Martinez for the series finale, which is now the case for the third straight series since the veteran slugger made his season debut April 26. DJ Stewart will bat fifth as the designated hitter Sunday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:13 am

    • J.D. Martinez gets Sunday off against Rays
J.D. Martinez is not in the lineup for Sunday’s tilt with the Rays.

Advice: Martinez went 1-for-8 over the first two games of the series and is hitting .267 with a .624 OPS thus far in his limited action. He’ll get a day off with DJ Stewart hitting fifth as the designated hitter for the Mets on Sunday. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:55 am

    • Jake Fraley (illness) returns to action on Friday
Jake Fraley (illness) returned to the Reds’ starting lineup for Friday night’s contest against the Orioles.

Advice: Fraley missed the better part of three weeks while battling the illness that was making its way through the Reds’ clubhouse — then developed bronchitis after returning to the lineup for a couple of days. It’s strange to see him in the lineup against a left-hander, but fantasy managers have to be pleased to see his name in the lineup card at all these days. He’ll bat eighth against Cole Irvin and the Orioles. Rotoworld Friday, 1:53 pm

    • Out of lineup again Friday
Chourio is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: It's the first time this season that he's been held out of the lineup in consecutive games. Since April 16, Chourio is slashing just .140/.196/.233 while striking out at a 38.3 percent rate. Jake Bauers and Sal Frelick are in the corner outfield spots for Milwaukee on Friday. • Collects three hits Wednesday
Betts went 3-for-5 with two RBI against the Diamondbacks in Wednesday's 8-0 victory.

Advice: Betts hasn't homered over his past 17 games, but he continues to be productive, collecting seven multi-hit efforts over that stretch while slashing .406/.481/.536. The move to shortstop this season hasn't impacted the All-Star's offensive production, as Betts is leading MLB in hits (49) and OBP (.481) while tying for first in runs (29) and walks (26). Betts' 1.104 OPS also leads all major-leaguers. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:33 am
