    • Contributes to win
Alexander started at second base and went 2-for-5 with a stolen base, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Mets.

Advice: Alexander made his first start in five days and had a hand in both runs scored in the sixth inning. After singling in a run, he stole second base, advanced to third on a wild pitch then scored on a throwing error by the catcher. Alexander's playing time dwindled during May -- a month in which he batted .184 with just 38 at-bats -- and he could be in danger of losing a roster spot once Geraldo Perdomo (knee) returns. • Homers in loss
Vientos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a 10-5 loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Vientos hit a solo homer off Slade Cecconi in the fifth inning then singled and scored a run in the ninth. After posting three hits on Friday, Vientos followed it up with another multi-hit effort that included his third home run in his past eight games. With Brett Baty being optioned to Triple-A Syracuse, it appears Vientos will have a chance to stake his claim at third base for the Mets. On the season, Vientos now has 10 home runs and 39 RBI in 190 plate appearances between Triple-A and the majors. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 pm

    • Mark Vientos homers in loss to D-Backs
Mark Vientos went 2-for-4 with a home run against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Vientos crossed home plate for two of the Mets’ five runs on Saturday, starting with a solo blast off Slade Cecconi to lead off the fifth inning. He led off the ninth with an infield hit and scored on a groundout. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .340/.386/.642 with four homers and nine RBI across 57 plate appearances. • Idle versus southpaw
Fraley isn't in the Reds' lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: With lefty starter Justin Steele set to toe the slab for Chicago, the lefty-hitting Fraley will step out of the lineup Saturday. His absence will move Tyler Stephenson into the DH role while Luke Maile starts behind the plate, batting ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:52 pm
    • On bench Saturday
Turner is out of the lineup Saturday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Turner will head to the bench after he went 2-for-11 with a double, two RBI, four walks and two strikeouts while starting the team's last three contests. Daniel Vogelbach will replace him at designated hitter and bat fifth against Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:08 am

    • Could be back Tuesday
Robert (hip) will serve as the designated hitter Sunday with Triple-A Charlotte and will be re-evaluated afterward to potentially be activated from the injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Even with the positive news, manager Pedro Grifol cautioned that Robert won't return as an everyday player and will need a scheduled day off between every 2-to-4 games. Robert has appeared in three games with Charlotte to date, going 1-for-12 with a home run and five strikeouts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:07 am

    • Michael Conforto singles Friday in rehab contest
Michael Conforto (hamstring) went 1-for-3 on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Conforto kicked off his rehab assignment by getting in a couple frames in left field as he works his way back from a right hamstring strain. The 31-year-old veteran was off to a strong start at the dish, with encouraging Statcast batted ball metrics to back it up, which should make him a relevant option for fantasy managers once he returns. • Luis Robert Jr. goes 0-for-5 on Friday at Triple-A
Luis Robert Jr. (hip) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts on Friday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Robert has gone 1-for-12 with a home run in three games for Triple-A Charlotte on his rehab assignment. There’s optimism that he’ll be ready to return early next week, but he’s going to get a couple more minor-league games under his belt this weekend to continue knocking off the rust. • Wins with shaky outing
Severino (3-2) allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out four and earning a win over Arizona.

Advice: Severino got off to a rough start, coughing up three runs in the first inning. He gave up one more over the next four frames before Eugenio Suarez knocked him out of the game with a solo shot in the sixth inning. Severino still earned his first win since April 17 in the chaotic 10-9 contest. He ends May with a subpar 4.91 ERA and 23:16 K:BB through 29 frames. Severino will carry a 3.52 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be in Washington. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:52 am
