    • ā€˜No timetableā€™ for Trea Turner (hamstring) yet
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Friday that Trea Turner (hamstring) remains without a definitive timetable to return.

Advice: Turner suffered a minor setback in his recovery from a left hamstring strain earlier this week when he experienced leg soreness following a high-intensity workout. He managed to resume fielding grounders and also did some light jogging prior to Fridayā€™s game against the Cardinals, but doesnā€™t appear close to running the bases again, which would be his final hurdle prior to a minor league rehab assignment. Itā€™s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but the Phillies canā€™t really afford to rush him back and risk another setback. At this point, a mid-June return seems like a best-case scenario. Rotoworld Today, 9:00 am

    • Preserves win with arm
De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Fridays 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: De La Cruz's MLB-leading 32nd steal had no impact on the game, but the shortstop's cannon arm did. His 93.3 mph relay gunned down the potential tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning to preserve Cincinnati's win. Rotowire.com Today, 5:50 am
    • Jackson Merrill returns to lineup after day off
Jackson Merrill is back in center field Wednesday after getting the day off against a lefty on Tuesday.

Advice: The Padres are again facing a lefty, but Merrill has been starting against most of them, even though heā€™s hitting just .233/.261/.233 in 46 plate appearances against them. Heā€™s also 7-for-35 with no extra-base hits or walks in his last eight games overall. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:25 am

    • Getting breather versus lefty
Merrill isn't in the Padres' lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: The left-handed bat of Merrill will step out of the lineup Tuesday as the Marlins prepare to send Jesus Luzardo to the mound. Jose Azocar will fill the void in center field and bat eighth while Merrill sits. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:21 pm

    • Trea Turner ā€˜pulled backā€™ on rehab due to soreness
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters that Trea Turner (hamstring) is dealing with soreness and heā€™ll be ā€œpulled backā€ on his rehab.

Advice: ā€œHow long, I donā€™t know,ā€ Thomson said. ā€œIā€™m not really concerned at this point.ā€ Turner is working his way back from his left hamstring strain, and he ran at a higher intensity Saturday as he attempts to make a quicker return than anticipated. Itā€™s concerning to see, but itā€™s also possible this is just precautionary. A rehab assignment will assuredly be needed before he can return. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:15 am

    • Trea Turner runs at higher intensity on Saturday
Trea Turner (hamstring) was able to run at a higher intensity on Saturday as he continues to work his way back from a left hamstring strain.

Advice: If he feels alright on Sunday, he could soon progress to actually running on the bases. Heā€™ll still need to take swings against live pitching and play in at least some simulated games before heā€™ll be ready to rejoin the Philliesā€™ lineup, but he continues to make much quicker progress than originally anticipated. • Runs at higher intensity Saturday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Turner (hamstring) ran at a higher intensity Saturday, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Turner could progress to running the bases as soon as the Phillies' series in San Francisco against the Giants which begins Monday. He will need to complete that step and also see live pitching before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment, but rehab games wouldn't seem to be too terribly far off if he continues moving in the right direction. • Trea Turner (hamstring) hits in cage on Friday
Trea Turner (hamstring) hit in the batting cage, took ground balls and did some short sprints on the field on Friday without any issues.

Advice: Heā€™s scheduled to face live pitching on Saturday and do some more intense running to test out his injured hamstring. He appears to be making quicker progress in his recovery than his initial timeline and is inching closer to a minor league rehab assignment. Rotoworld Friday, 5:56 pm
