• Delivers 11-strikeout gem
Pfaadt did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners. He allowed two runs on five hits while striking out 11 over six innings.

Advice: Pfaadt did not get off to an ideal start after allowing a leadoff home run to Josh Rojas, though he was able to settle in quickly with the only other extra-base hit being a triple by Leonardo Rivas. Pfaadt ended his day by retiring the final 11 batters he faced. His 11 strikeouts set a new career high, and he relied heavily on his sweeper, registering nine of his 17 whiffs on that pitch. He's now allowed two runs or fewer in three straight starts and will take a 4.63 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB into his next start, projected to come against San Diego next weekend. • Little run support Sunday
Gilbert did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out nine in 6.1 innings.

Advice: Gilbert allowed an early solo home run to Christian Walker in the second. He was then able to keep the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard until Eugenio Suarez doubled home another run in the seventh to even things up at 2-2, ultimately knocking Gilbert from the game and spoiling his chance at a win. Still, it was another excellent outing from the 27-year-old. His nine strikeouts were a season-high and he's managed to go at least six innings and all but one start so far. Gilbert now owns a sparkling 2.03 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 44:9 K:BB in 40 innings and lines up to face the Astros on the road next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 2:43 am
  • Sharp in first rehab outing
Bradley did not allow a hit and walked one while striking out seven across five scoreless innings Sunday in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Bradley was on the mound in game action for the first time since March 6, but he showed no signs of rust. He also threw 65 pitches, which keeps him on track to return by mid-May. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:06 pm

  • John Means looks sharp in latest rehab start
John Means (elbow) looked sharp in his final minor league rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, allowing just one hit over seven scoreless innings.

Advice: The left-hander piled up eight strikeouts on the day and issued just one base on balls. Means fired 61 of his 95 pitches for strikes in the contest. While the Orioles have yet to officially announce any changes to their rotation, it’s anticipated that Means will replace Albert Suarez to start against the Reds in Cincinnati on Friday. It’s a difficult first start back to trust for fantasy managers, but he’s worthy of a stash in deeper mixed leagues where he may still be available. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:52 pm

  • Takes extra-innings loss
Liberatore (0-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk over three innings, taking the extra-innings loss versus the Mets on Sunday. He did not record a strikeout.

Advice: Liberatore was called on for a long-relief assignment that began in the eighth inning and ended with a walk-off home run by Mark Vientos in the 11th. This was Liberatore's longest outing of the season, and it came in a game during which the Cardinals' bullpen had multiple high-leverage relievers unavailable due to recent workloads. The southpaw now has a 3.14 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 7:8 K:BB across 14.1 innings over 10 appearances this season. Liberatore's history as a starter will keep him in a long-relief role unless the Cardinals feel the need to swap him out for a fresher arm heading into Monday's game versus the Tigers. • Solid start against Mets
Lynn didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three batters.

Advice: Lynn walked at least three batters for the third time in his last four starts. However, the only run charged against him came on a solo home run by Francisco Lindor in the sixth. During his last four appearances, Lynn owns a 2.05 ERA with 17 strikeouts and 11 walks over 22.0 innings. He's lined up for a start against the White Sox on Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 pm
  • Tanner Houck fans nine in tough-luck no-decision
Tanner Houck was brilliant in a tough-luck no-decision on Sunday night, piling up nine strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: Houck scattered just four hits on the evening and didn’t walk a batter. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single by Matt Mervis in the seventh inning — the final batter that Houck faced. The 27-year-old right-hander generated 16 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night — getting five or more whiffs on each of his slider, sinker and splitter — while posting a CSW of 35 percent. He’ll bring a pristine 1.60 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and a 41/5 K/BB ratio (39 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Twins in Minnesota. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm
  • Hayden Wesneski pitches well in no-decision Sunday
Hayden Wesneski pitched well in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Sunday night, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits over his four innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander walked one and struck out three batters on the night. The Red Sox scratched out single runs against him in the first and third innings — both on RBI singles by Connor Wong. The 26-year-old hurler got eight swings and misses on 63 pitches on the night — five of those on his fastball that averaged 94.8 mph — while posting a CSW of 29 percent. With Jordan Wicks shelved, he’ll have an opportunity to stick in the Cubs’ rotation for at least a few weeks now. His next turn will come on Friday against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm
  • Taijuan Walker gives up six, beats Padres in debut
Taijuan Walker had mixed results in his season debut on Sunday, earning a victory over the Padres despite the fact that he allowed six runs on eight hits over his 6 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: Walker punched out four batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of free passes. The Padres got to him for three runs in the third inning as Fernando Tatis Jr. smacked an RBI double and rode home on a two-run blast by Jake Cronenworth. They tacked on three more as Luis Campusano clubbed a three-run shot in the seventh inning. Walker generated 10 swings and misses on 90 pitches in the ballgame, registering a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll hope for better results overall when he squares off against the Giants at home on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:26 pm
