    • Brendan Rodgers day-to-day with hamstring injury
Brendan Rodgers was removed from Friday’s game against the Cardinals with a left hamstring injury.

Advice: Rockies skipper Bud Black told reporters afterwards that Rodgers felt a small grab while running out a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning of Friday’s game, which led to his early exit. He added that Rodgers will rest and undergo treatment in the coming days in the hope that he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It doesn’t sound like he’ll return to Colorado’s lineup until early next week. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago
    • Ketel Marte crushes 13th homer in blowout loss
Ketel Marte walloped a two-run homer on Friday in the Diamondbacks’ one-sided loss at the hands of the Padres.

Advice: Marte broke up a potential shutout with a seventh-inning blast off Padres reliever Wandy Peralta for his 13th big fly of the season. The 30-year-old second baseman has been a model of consistency in an otherwise turbulent campaign for the defending National League champions this season, batting .282 with 41 runs scored, 13 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 63 games. Unfortunately, the stolen bases probably aren’t ever coming back to his early-career level, but he remains a reliable four-category fantasy contributor at the keystone in the prime of his career. • Lifts ninth homer
Gurriel went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 10-for-37 (.270) with three homers in that span. He didn't start Friday, but he entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and delivered with his ninth long ball of the campaign. The outfielder has added 37 RBI, 29 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .239/.282/.399 slash line over 252 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:53 pm
    • Crushes homer in loss
Marte went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: The second baseman is on a roll to begin June, going 11-for-26 (.423) with three homers and six RBI over his first seven games of the month. Marte is up to 13 long balls, 35 RBI, 41 runs scored, one stolen base and a .282/.340/.508 slash line over 63 contests this season. Marte's topped the 20-homer mark just twice in his first nine major-league seasons, but he's on pace to do it for the second year in a row. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:50 pm
    • Tending to hamstring issue
Rodgers exited Friday's game against the Cardinals after feeling tightness in his hamstring while running the bases, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Both Rodgers and manager Bud Black expressed optimism that the injury is not serious. However, Rodgers will reportedly require treatment over the next couple of days, suggesting it would be a surprise to see him in the lineup Saturday. Alan Trejo should line up to start at second base if Rodgers is forced to remain on the bench. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:20 pm
    • Knocks three hits
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Friday's win over Cleveland.

Advice: De La Cruz put the Marlins on the board with his solo shot in the third inning and later smacked another extra-base hit. He's gone deep 11 times this season, though just two of those have come in his last 17 contests. He's slashing .252/.306/.427 with 21 extra-base hits and 28 RBI through 268 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:36 pm
    • Bryan De La Cruz homers, doubles in Marlins’ win
Bryan De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double Friday to lead the Marlins to a 3-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: De La Cruz’s hits all left his bat at over 102 mph. He’s batting .252/.306/.427 for the season, which is certainly good enough to keep him in the Marlins lineup but isn’t great for someone who has turned out to be a pretty bad left fielder (he’s currently DHing about two-thirds of the time). One imagines he’ll be one of the many Miami players available in trade talks next month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
    • Two triples in win
Perkins went 3-for-4 with a pair of triples, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 10-0 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Perkins extended Milwaukee's lead to 3-0 in the second inning with an RBI triple, the first of his career, before driving in another run with his second three-bagger in the fifth. The 27-year-old Perkins has been swinging the bat well -- he's now 13-for-30 (.433) over his last eight games with five extra-base hits and six RBI. Overall, he's slashing .260./332/.398 across 202 plate appearances this year with five homers, 32 runs scored, 21 RBI and six stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:53 pm
    • Rodgers leaves vs. Cards with apparent injury
Brendan Rodgers left Friday’s game with an apparent injury against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rodgers was limping to first base and exited slowly. The Rockies should provide an injury update on the 27-year-old before the end of Friday’s contest. Alan Trejo has replaced Rodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:52 pm
