    • Lifts ninth homer
Gurriel went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 10-for-37 (.270) with three homers in that span. He didn't start Friday, but he entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and delivered with his ninth long ball of the campaign. The outfielder has added 37 RBI, 29 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .239/.282/.399 slash line over 252 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:53 pm
    • Knocks three hits
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Friday's win over Cleveland.

Advice: De La Cruz put the Marlins on the board with his solo shot in the third inning and later smacked another extra-base hit. He's gone deep 11 times this season, though just two of those have come in his last 17 contests. He's slashing .252/.306/.427 with 21 extra-base hits and 28 RBI through 268 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:36 pm
    • Bryan De La Cruz homers, doubles in Marlins’ win
Bryan De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double Friday to lead the Marlins to a 3-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: De La Cruz’s hits all left his bat at over 102 mph. He’s batting .252/.306/.427 for the season, which is certainly good enough to keep him in the Marlins lineup but isn’t great for someone who has turned out to be a pretty bad left fielder (he’s currently DHing about two-thirds of the time). One imagines he’ll be one of the many Miami players available in trade talks next month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
    • Two triples in win
Perkins went 3-for-4 with a pair of triples, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 10-0 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Perkins extended Milwaukee's lead to 3-0 in the second inning with an RBI triple, the first of his career, before driving in another run with his second three-bagger in the fifth. The 27-year-old Perkins has been swinging the bat well -- he's now 13-for-30 (.433) over his last eight games with five extra-base hits and six RBI. Overall, he's slashing .260./332/.398 across 202 plate appearances this year with five homers, 32 runs scored, 21 RBI and six stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:53 pm
    • Hitting and throwing
Wade (hamstring) has begun hitting and throwing programs at the Giants' complex in Arizona, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Wade still has plenty of boxes to check off before he can start playing in rehab games, but resuming baseball activity is certainly a step in the right direction. The 30-year-old was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring strain in late May and still projects to be sidelined until at least the end of June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:12 pm

    • Getting day off
Gurriel is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel will get a breather Friday after making five straight starts in left field. Jake McCarthy will slide to left while Randal Grichuk steps into right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:28 pm
    • Mashes homer No. 10
De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: He got the Marlins on the board with a solo shot off Ryan Pepiot in the first inning before adding an RBI fielder's choice in the seventh. De La Cruz snapped a 14-game power drought with the performance, a stretch in which he'd hit just .226 (12-for-53) with one RBI. On the season, the 27-year-old is slashing .248/.304/.412 with 10 homers, 27 RBI and 28 runs in 60 contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:23 am
    • Homers in two straight
Gurriel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-2 win over San Francisco.

Advice: Gurriel led off the second inning with a home run, his eighth of the season, to give Arizona an early lead. It was the second consecutive game in which he homered in his first plate appearance. The outfielder has a modest six-game hit streak, going 6-for-24 during that stretch. • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hits 100th career homer in win
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit his 100th career homer Monday against the Giants.

Advice: Gurriel entered June in the midst of a six-week slump, but he’s now homered in back-to-back games to start the month. He’s certainly worth trying in leagues in which he was dropped. Rotoworld Monday, 9:49 pm
