      Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two doubles against the Nationals on Friday.

      Advice: On a night when the Braves offense had only four hits against Nationals starter Jake Irvin, Ozuna managed to double off Irvin twice.       Tanner Scott pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings and notched a win in relief Friday against the Guardians.

      Advice: Scott came into a tie game in the eighth and stayed in to finish after the Marlins took a one-run lead. It’s his fifth win of the year, all coming since Apr. 30.       The Astros announced that Cristian Javier underwent successful Tommy John surgery on Thursday.

      Thomas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Atlanta on Thursday.

      Advice: Morel can be streaky with his power production, but he appears to be locked in right now, as he has two home runs across his last three games and three in his last seven contests. The surge has pushed him up to 12 long balls for the season. Morel popped 26 home runs last year, and he certainly could reach or surpass that figure in 2024 if he stays healthy.       Advice: The home run was Morel’s 12th of the year. He’s hitting just .205 on the season, but his .212 BABIP is well below his career .287 BABIP. His 21 percent strikeout percentage is much improved from his career 29 percent strikeout percentage.
