      Phillies manager Rob Thomson said “it’s possible” that Kyle Schwarber (groin) could return on Tuesday when the Phillies begin their series against the Dodgers.

      Advice: Schwarber is already running at 90% on the field and has not yet been on the IL for a week, so he likely wouldn’t need any rehab assignment if he progresses quickly.       Advice: The power-hitting backstop showed off the wheels following his sixth-inning single, working his way into scoring position with a steal of second and subsequently racing home on Brett Harris' knock for the Athletics' fifth and final run of the night.       Anthony Volpe is batting sixth on Thursday against the Reds.

      Advice: It’s the first time since April 10th that Volpe will be in the lineup and not be leading off. However, it appears to be a move that was a long time coming. Since Volpe moved into the leadoff spot, he has had the worst on-base percentage among every Yankees player with at least 250 plate appearances. He also ranks as the third-worst leadoff hitter in baseball with his 87 wRC+. Considering the Yankees’ lead-off hitter bats in front of Juan Soto and Aaron Judge, the team needs somebody who can consistently get on base and be driven in by those two studs.       Kremer (4-4) picked up the win over the Mariners on Wednesday, allowing two hits and two walks over five shutout innings while striking out eight.

      Advice: Kremer was fantastic in his return from a triceps strain, striking out six of the first 12 batters he faced while inducing 16 swings-and-misses in total. He came through in his first start back from the injured list and lowered his season ERA from 4.32 to 3.93 with the shutout performance.
