• Clay Holmes picks up four-out save vs. Tigers
Clay Holmes hurled a scoreless 1 1/3 innings to get a save Saturday against the Tigers.

Advice: Holmes gave up one hit while picking up a pair of strikeouts. This now makes 16 consecutive appearances to begin the year where he hasn’t allowed a run, and he’s already up to 11 saves on the season. Can’t do much better than that. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Casey Mize surrenders five in loss to Yankees
Casey Mize gave up five runs over 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts in a loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Mize allowed nine hits while issuing a walk. He allowed a three-run homer to Anthony Rizzo, but he dealt with traffic throughout most of the start. The 2018 first-overall pick sees his ERA bump to 3.98, and he now possesses a 24/7 K/BB. He’ll be back on the mound when he faces the Astros on Friday. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Clarke Schmidt fans seven over five vs. Tigers
Clarke Schmidt allowed three runs while striking out seven over five innings to get a win Saturday over the Tigers.

Advice: Schmidt allowed a leadoff homer to Riley Greene, and then the right-hander allowed a pair of runs in the fourth. In between — and an inning after — the right-hander was solid while giving up four hits and not issuing a walk. The overall result is just so-so, but Schmidt looked better than the line suggests. He’s back on the bump. He faces the Rays on Friday, and Schmidt will take a 3.50 ERA into that matchup. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

  • Back to big club
The Giants recalled Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday.

Advice: The move corresponds with San Francisco placing catcher Patrick Bailey on the 7-day concussion IL. Sabol has played 21 games in Triple-A this season, slashing .243/.378/.324 with three doubles, 16 walks, one home run and six RBI over 91 plate appearances with Sacramento. Sabol played in 110 games for the Giants last season and finished with a .235 average with 13 home runs and 44 RBI. He'll provide depth at backstop while Tom Murphy takes over as the primary catcher in Bailey's absence. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

  • Aaron Judge ejected for first time in career
Aaron Judge was ejected for arguing balls and strikes during Saturday’s game against the Tigers. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored before exiting.

Advice: That’s the first time Judge has been ejected from a game in his MLB career. Judge appeared to judge — pun intended — the pitch correctly, as the offering appeared to be quite a bit outside of the strike zone. Trent Grisham has taken over in center. It’s unlikely Judge will face further discipline. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago

  • Lands on concussion IL
The Giants placed Bailey on the 7-day concussion injured list Saturday.

Advice: Bailey left Friday's game against the Phillies after he was struck in the mask by a foul tip off the bat in the first inning. Tom Murphy is slated to take over as the primary catcher in Bailey's absence, while Blake Sabol was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday to provide backstop depth. • Giants recall Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento
Giants recalled C/OF Blake Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Sabol takes the place of Patrick Bailey with Bailey placed on the concussion injured list. Sabol offers some defensive versatility, but doesn’t have the offensive upside to be a fantasy option. Rotoworld Today, 12:20 pm

  • Giants place Patrick Bailey on 7-day concussion IL
Giants placed C Patrick Bailey on the 7-day concussion injured list.

Advice: Bailey left Friday’s game with blurred vision. The backstop will now be out of commission until he can clear the concussion protocols. The 24-year-old is replaced on the active roster by Blake Sabol. Rotoworld Today, 12:19 pm

  • Day off Saturday
Rengifo isn't in the Angels' lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Advice: Rengifo will get a breather after logging a base hit in each of his last seven games and recording multiple hits in each of his last three. Ehire Adrianza will fill in at the hot corner and bat second. Rotowire.com Today, 12:03 pm
