    Advice: Abrams knocked a base hit in the third and stole second to get into scoring position, but was stranded on the bases. Down by four runs with the bases loaded, he sent a fly ball to deep center field that fell just short of a grand slam. He settled for a sacrifice fly to bring home a run.     Manager Torey Lovullo said Saturday that Perdomo (knee) has been fielding live ground balls and has also resumed throwing, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

    Advice: Perdomo still has yet to resume hitting, as the Diamondbacks are going to take a cautious approach with his rehab just three weeks removed from knee surgery.   • Bo Bichette ejected from Saturday’s ballgame
    Bo Bichette was ejected from Saturday’s ballgame against the Nationals after spiking his helmet in frustration to a questionable called-third strike.

    Advice: The slumping 26-year-old shortstop appeared to take exception to a pitch that grazed the outside corner against him, and he took out some frustration on his helmet.     Nico Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base in a 6-5 win over the Brewers.

    Advice: Hoerner put the Cubs on the board right away, taking Tobias Myers deep for a solo homer to lead off the first inning, his first homer of the season. He added a base hit to lead off the seventh, then stole second for his fifth steal of the season. The 26-year-old second baseman is heating up at the plate, with multiple hits in three of his last four games.     Trea Turner told reporters that he expects to miss at least six weeks with his hamstring injury.

    Advice: Turner told reporters that anything prior to a six-week return would “be a win.” It’s a significant blow for both fantasy managers and the Phillies — and Turner himself, of course — as the shortstop was once again playing at an elite level.
