    • Racks up three hits in loss
O'Neill went 3-for-4 in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: O'Neill went just 3-for-27 over his last seven games before the All-Star break, though that came after he began July with three multi-hit efforts. The outfielder is now at a .260/.353/.496 slash line with 16 home runs, 31 RBI, 49 runs scored, three stolen bases and 12 doubles over 69 contests this season. O'Neill continues to hold down a starting role in Boston's outfield, though he has just seven homers over his last 50 games after beginning the year with nine long balls in 19 contests. • Anthony Santander homers twice, knocks in five
Anthony Santander went 3-for-5 with two homers and five RBI in leading the Orioles to a 9-1 trouncing of the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: It’s shaping up a quite the walk year for Santander, who just made his first All-Star team. He’s up to 26 homers, which is seven off his career high from 2022. His .826 OPS is 60 points better than his career mark and would be his career high, unless someone wants to count his .890 OPS from 37 games in 2020. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:46 pm
    • Goes deep twice
Santander went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's win over Texas.

Advice: Santander belted a two-run shot in the fifth inning and capped off his day with a three-run blast in the seventh. He ended the first half with two home runs over his last 13 games and Friday was his first multi-homer effort since June 15. Santander is slashing .242/.305/.521 with 26 long balls and 63 RBI through 92 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm
    • Coughs up five runs in loss
Bassitt (8-8) took the loss Friday against the Tigers, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 6.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: With this outing, the Toronto right-hander continued his run of poor performance that saw him yield seven runs across 10 innings in his last two outings before the All-Star break. Bassitt allowed multiple homers for the first time since April 26 against the Dodgers, as Mark Canha and Wenceel Perez each hit two-run shots. The veteran pitcher's ERA now stands at 3.71 over 114 innings this season. Bassitt currently lines up to make his next start against the Rays at home. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:28 pm
    • Tanner Bibee blanks Padres, earns eighth win
Tanner Bibee didn’t allow a run across 5 2/3 innings in a 7-0 win over the Padres on Friday. He walked three and struck out three.

Advice: This was not Bibee’s best game despite not allowing a run. His usually excellent slider was all over the place and he induced just six swings and misses overall. That matched his lowest total of the season. Still, it’s a testament to Bibee’s growth that he was able to keep a solid offense off the board without his best stuff. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:31 pm
    • Notches final out for 26th save
Finnegan earned the save in Friday's 8-5 win over the Reds, allowing one walk before recording the final out.

Advice: It didn't appear that Finnegan would be needed Friday, as the Nationals carried an 8-1 lead into the ninth. However, Jose Ferrer and Derek Law would combine to allow four runs in the frame, forcing the Nats to turn to Finnegan with two outs. The right-hander would issue a walk before ultimately getting Elly De La Cruz to ground out to seal an 8-5 win. The 32-year-old Finnegan has been excellent for Washington this year -- he's up to 26 saves, third-most in the league, with a 2.43 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB across 40.2 innings. • Tanner Scott grabs four-out save
Tanner Scott was perfect in 1 1/3 to earn the save against the Mets on Friday. He also struck out one batter.

Advice: Scott was called upon with two out, two on, and Francisco Lindor up in the eighth inning when the Marlins were up by just one run. He forced a pop-out and then worked a clean ninth inning to earn his 15th save. Any one could be his last though with the trade deadline looming and Scott likely being dealt to a contender. • Kyle Finnegan locks down 26th save
Kyle Finnegan got one out and earned the save on Friday against the Reds.

Advice: Finnegan probably thought he had the night off as his Nationals led 8-1 entering the ninth inning. However, the Reds cut the lead to three and forced Finnegan to face Elly De La Cruz as the tying run. He got him as the Nationals breathed a collective sigh of relief. Hopefully Finnegan’s run as a closer doesn’t come to an end with the trade deadline closing in. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:49 pm

    • Elly De La Cruz swipes league-leading 47th bag
Elly De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a stolen base on Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: The Reds’ offense was asleep for eight innings in this one before coming alive for four runs in the ninth inning to make the Nationals sweat. It’s still spectacular to see how high De La Cruz’s steal total can climb, as he’s now stolen 17 more bags than Brice Turang who is second in the league. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:48 pm
