    • Homers in win
Suarez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a steal in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Cincinnati.

Advice: Suarez's eighth-inning home run gave the Diamondbacks a 4-2 cushion, which the team needed as the Reds plated a run in the bottom of the ninth. It was the third home run of the season for Suarez, who earlier in the game snapped an 0-for-14 stretch. Rotowire.com 2 minutes ago
    • Suffers first loss Wednesday
Wesneski (2-1) allowed three runs on seven hits across six innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Padres. He walked one and struck out three.

Advice: Wesneski pitched well enough, logging his second straight quality start in the process, but he got no run support in the 3-0 loss. The righty now has a strong 1.59 ERA overall, though it remains to be seen if he'll stick in the rotation moving forward. Justin Steele (hamstring) just returned from the injured list Monday, and Kyle Hendricks (back) could return in the near future, possibly as soon as May 17 following a rehab start over the weekend. For now, Wesneski is slated to start again Tuesday against Atlanta, but he may shift to a long-relief role after that. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Gets back in win column
Singer (3-1) earned the win Wednesday against Milwaukee, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Singer tallied his first win in five starts, yielding one run for a third consecutive outing. He settled in nicely after allowing doubles to the first two batters he faced, keeping the Brewers off the scoreboard following the first frame. Singer has allowed more than two runs in just one start this season and owns a 2.36 ERA with 46 strikeouts across 45.2 innings. He's lined up for a start in Seattle on Monday. • Not used in save opportunity
Sewald did not enter Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo used Kevin Ginkel to close out what was a 4-2 lead to begin the bottom of the ninth inning, but he ran into trouble, allowing a walk and two singles. Lovullo turned to Joe Mantiply to close out the game. Presumably, the manager didn't want to push Sewald so soon after missing a month-and-a-half with an oblique injury; he threw 15 pitches Tuesday in his first game off the injured list. • Paul DeJong powers White Sox past Rays Wednesday
Paul DeJong clobbered a go-ahead two-run homer in the fifth inning on Wednesday, powering the White Sox to a 4-1 victory over the Rays.

Advice: DeJong tagged Rays’ starter Aaron Civale for his 400-foot (104.2 mph EV) two-run shot, scoring Bryan Ramos who had led off the inning with a double. He also singled in the sixth inning and scored on a two-out RBI single off the bat of Tommy Pham. With his two-hit night, DeJong is now hitting .240/.284/.469 with five homers and 10 RBI through his first 32 games on the season. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Bryan Ramos collects two hits in win over Rays
Bryan Ramos went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and an RBI as the White Sox triumphed over the Rays on Wednesday evening.

Advice: Ramos led off the fifth inning with a double off of Aaron Civale, then rode home on Paul DeJong’s go-ahead two-run blast. He then added an insurance run with an RBI single in the sixth inning that extended the White Sox’ lead to 3-1. He has impressed in his limited action thus far, hitting .357/.375/.429 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored in his first 14 at-bats. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Michael Kopech closes out Rays to earn third save
Michael Kopech picked up his third save of the season on Wednesday night, working a scoreless ninth inning to protect a three-run lead against the Rays.

Advice: Despite the fact that he allowed a one-out single to Harold Ramirez, Kopech still made it look easy — battling right back to get Isaac Paredes to bounce into a game-ending double play. He needed just 10 pitches (seven strikes) to get the job done. Save chances have been few and far between for the White Sox this season, but Kopech has done a nice job overall with a 3.93 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 25/10 K/BB ratio across his 18 1/3 innings while converting three of his first four save chances. • Chris Flexen strikes out eight in win over Rays
Chris Flexen delivered a dominant performance in Wednesday’s victory over the Rays, racking up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 29-year-old right-hander scattered just three hits and one walk on the evening. The only blemish on his day came in the form of an RBI double by Isaac Paredes in the fourth inning. Flexen generated 12 swings and misses on 96 pitches in the ballgame — five on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 30 percent. He now holds a 4.29 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 25/13 K/BB ratio over 35 2/3 innings in eight appearances (six starts) on the season. He’s likely to take on the Nationals his next time out on Monday. • Isaac Paredes plates lone run in loss to White Sox
Isaac Paredes went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in the Rays’ lone run in Wednesday evening’s loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The hard-hitting 25-year-old infielder got the Rays on the board first with a run-scoring double off of Chris Flexen in the fourth inning. That would wind up being their only tally in the contest though. Paredes also drew a walk in the ballgame, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances. For the season, he’s now hitting .300/.387/.523 with eight homers and 20 RBI. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago
