    • India stays red hot with two-hit game Thursday
      Jonathan India went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Cardinals on Thursday.



      Advice: India started the game with a single and scored on Elly De La Cruz’s RBI triple. In the second inning, he had an RBI double to give the Reds a 2-0 lead. India is now on a nine-game hitting streak and he’s 17-for-33 (.515) in that stretch. In June, he’s 30-for-80 (.375) with 18 runs scored and 14 RBI in 24 games. India’s average is up to .272 on the season with a .771 OPS and 32 RBI.

      Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

      Advice: Hoerner blasted his third home run of the season in the third inning with a runner on and also stole his 14th base of the year The infielder is not known as a big power threat, as his career best in homers for a season is only 10, but he is a capable baserunner.       Rutschman had his right hand wrapped following Thursday's game against the Rangers, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

      Advice: Rutschman had a ball tipped off his hand early in the game and remained in the lineup. He still managed to blast his 15th home run in the seventh inning, suggesting the injury isn't serious.       Adley Rutschman suffered a right hand injury during Thursday’s win over the Rangers.

      Advice: It wouldn’t be shocking to see Rutschman get a day off, or at least be limited to designated hitter for a bit, after suffering an apparent right hand injury during Thursday’s blowout win over the Rangers when he was hit by a foul tip. The 26-year-old backstop, who went 2-for-4 with his 15th homer of the season in the one-sided affair, had his hand wrapped following the contest and might need some time off to address the issue.       Adolis Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Thursday.



      Advice: Garcia’s home run was his 15th of the season. It hasn’t been Garcia’s best season, but he’s showing what it means to possess a solid floor. He’s only hitting .219, but he’s still on pace for around 30 home runs with 15 stolen bases and run totals in the mid-80s. Even though Garcia isn’t repeating the monster season he produced last year, he’s still carving out a pretty nice year for himself.

    • Nico Hoerner homers, steals base in victory
      Nico Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a homer and a stolen base for the Cubs in an extra-inning win over the Giants on Thursday.

      Advice: Hoerner swatted a two-run blast off Jordan Hicks in the third inning to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead. That’s only the third homer of the season for the 27-year-old, but the steal was already the 14th of the year. Hoerner missed time with a hairline fracture in his hand, and he’s a good bet to see a much higher average than the .246 mark he’s put up thus far in the second half. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:51 pm

    • Ketel Marte doubles and homers in loss to Twins
      Ketel Marte homered and doubled in a blowout loss Thursday to the Twins.

      Advice: Marte now has 17 homers on the season to go with 17 doubles. It’s been a fantastic season for the 30-year-old even in a shaky — to put it nicely — season for the Diamondbacks with those numbers along with 47 RBI and an .863 OPS. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:45 pm

      India went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh.

      Advice: No one in baseball is hotter than India, who leads MLB with a .571 average and is second in OPS (1.654) over the last seven days. He's hit safely in eight straight contests, going 15-for-29 with four walks, two steals, seven doubles, one home run, three RBI and eight additional runs scored.       Arenado went 1-for-8 over both games of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

      Advice: Arenado played all 18 innings Wednesday at third base in his return from a left forearm injury. He didn't make much of an impact at the plate, but it's encouraging to see the 33-year-old play both halves of the twin bill. He's down to a .254/.310/.364 slash line with six home runs, 32 RBI, 26 runs scored and one stolen base over 73 contests this year. The Cardinals have occasionally used Brandon Crawford and Brendan Donovan at the hot corner, and they could continue to be an option there if Arenado is out of the lineup or limited to designated hitter at any point in the future, as his forearm issue is believed to be a lingering one.
