    • Goes deep in win
Happ went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Advice: Happ has been on a heater recently, as he now has five straight two-hit performances. The outfielder has gone deep three times during the hot streak, giving him nine home runs for the season. Happ won't be able to stay this locked in forever, though fantasy managers should enjoy the production while it lasts. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:24 pm

    • Goes deep again
Swanson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Advice: Swanson went deep for the second straight game against San Francisco, giving him eight home runs for the season. The shortstop is still off to a sluggish start overall with a .214 average and .660 OPS across 64 contests, though his recent form is indicative of the type of upside that Swanson possesses, giving him plenty of fantasy appeal moving forward. • Brandon Drury scratched with illness on Wednesday
Brandon Drury was scratched from the Angels’ starting lineup on Wednesday night due to illness.

Advice: The 31-year-old infielder had just returned from the injured list on Monday, so it’s encouraging to hear that it’s just an illness keeping him out of action and not a recurrence of his hamstring issue. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:43 pm

    • Scratched with illness
Drury was scratched from the Angels' lineup ahead of Wednesday's game versus Milwaukee due to an illness, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Drury has gone 1-for-6 with a walk since returning from the injured list Monday, but he'll be sidelined once again Wednesday as he fights off an illness. Luis Guillorme will instead start at the keystone and bat ninth versus right-hander Freddy Peralta. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:38 pm

    • Dansby Swanson has two hits, homers in victory
Dansby Swanson went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and three RBI on Wednesday, leading the Cubs to a 6-5 victory over the Giants.

Advice: Swanson went back-to-back with Ian Happ in the fourth inning and also added a pivotal two-run single in the seventh inning, which wound up being just enough for Chicago to edge San Francisco. The 30-year-old shortstop has homered in back-to-back games after going without a round-tripper since June 7. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:37 pm

    • Ian Happ tallies two hits, homers in victory
Ian Happ went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Cubs’ victory over the Giants.

Advice: Happ went back-to-back with teammate Dansby Swanson off Giants reliever Spencer Bivens in the fourth inning. The 29-year-old left fielder has gone deep three times in his last five contests since June 15 and is up to nine round-trippers on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:36 pm

    • Brandon Pfaadt logs quality start in loss to Nats
Brandon Pfaadt logged a quality start in Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Nationals, giving up three runs on five hits across his 6 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander astonishingly did not record a strikeout in the contest while issuing four free passes. Still, he managed to keep the Nats off the board completely until Jesse Winker’s go-ahead two-run shot in the sixth inning. He then exited with two men on and one out in the seventh inning, and one of those runners ultimately came around to score as well. Pfaadt didn’t get a single swing and miss on any of his 77 pitches in the contest, registering an underwhelming CSW of only 23 percent. He’ll carry a 4.37 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and an 84/22 K/BB ratio (90 2/3 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Twins. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:27 pm
    • Heading to bench Wednesday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: With solid counting statistics (12 home runs, two stolen bases, 37 RBI and 28 runs) and a non-toxic batting average (.234), Jeffers has been one of the top fantasy catchers this season, but he's started to lose some of his shine in recent weeks. He's slashing just .153/.240/.259 overall since May 15, and his ongoing struggles at the dish have begun to cost him some playing time. He'll give way Wednesday to Christian Vazquez, who remains the Twins' No. 2 catcher but seems to have moved his way into more of a timeshare with Jeffers behind the dish. • Swipes eighth bag
Varsho went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Getting the start in center field and hitting cleanup, Varsho pilfered his third bag in the last 10 games and his eighth of the season in nine attempts. The 27-year-old sports a lopsided .216/.296/.446 slash line on the season with 11 homers, 35 RBI and 40 runs in 69 contests, but his .742 OPS still provides a significant improvement on the Blue Jays' other option in center field, Kevin Kiermaier (.545 OPS).
