    • Idle Friday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Jeffers and Christian Vazquez have alternated catching duties throughout most of June, with Friday being Vazquez's turn behind the dish. Jeffers owns a .802 OPS and a career-best 20.8 percent K rate this season. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Delivers big home run in win
Happ went 1-for-3 with two walks and a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: Happ reached base twice via walks earlier in the contest, but it was his home run in the 10th inning that proved critical. The outfielder broke open a 3-3 tie with his 10th long ball of the year, and the Cubs held on for the victory. Happ has now reached double figures in homers in each of his eight MLB seasons, making him a steady if not spectacular fantasy contributor across his career. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 pm

    • Ian Happ blasts go-ahead homer in 10th vs. Giants
Ian Happ hit a go-ahead homer in the 10th to help give the Cubs a 5-3 win over the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Happ gave the Cubs a 5-3 lead with a two-run shot off Luke Jackson to give Chicago the 5-3 lead and ultimately the victory. The 29-year-old had been scuffling as of late with just two hits in his last 21 at-bats coming into the contest, but he was able to procure his 10th homer and 41st and 42nd RBI in this one. Happ’s consistency is basically nonexistent, but he’s capable of going on streaks. Perhaps this is the start of a good one. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:51 pm

    • Daulton Varsho returns to lineup on Thursday
Daulton Varsho (back) returned to the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: Varsho is back in center field and batting seventh on Thursday evening following a four-game absence due to an ongoing back issue. The hope here is that the extra time off out of an abundance of caution is enough to prevent the issue from becoming an even greater concern. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:09 pm

    • Back in lineup
Varsho is starting in center field and batting seventh Thursday against the Yankees.

Advice: Varsho tweaked his back during Saturday's loss and has had to sit out the Blue Jays' last three games, but he seems to be feeling better ahead of Thursday's matchup. The 27-year-old outfielder went just 1-for-19 with six strikeouts across his last five games prior to getting hurt. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:56 pm

    • Secures 14th save
Doval picked up the save over the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing one hit over a scoreless ninth inning while striking out one.

Advice: Doval entered the contest with a one-run lead in the ninth and surrendered a leadoff single to Dansby Swanson before retiring the next three batters in succession to secure his 14th save of the campaign. The right-hander has now converted each of his last five save attempts and has allowed only one baserunner over his last three appearances. Doval has also posted at least one strikeout in three consecutive outings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:11 am

    • Bounces back with ninth victory
Rodriguez (9-3) earned the win over Cleveland on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

Advice: Rodriguez was tagged for seven runs over five innings against Houston during his previous trip to the mound, but he was much better Wednesday, notching his seventh quality start of the campaign and his ninth victory. The right-hander did give up two home runs, but both were of the solo variety, and they accounted for the only scores the Guardians managed against him. Rodriguez has been good at limiting long balls this season -- Wednesday marked just the second time he has allowed multiple homers -- and he's completed at least five frames in all but one of his 14 starts. He holds a 3.72 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 89:25 K:BB across 82.1 innings on the campaign. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:45 pm
    • Camilo Doval locks down 14th save vs. Cubs
Camilo Doval struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Doval was summoned to close out the game with a one-run lead in the ninth inning. He gave up a leadoff single, but stranded the runner with a strikeout, fly out, and a groundout to secure the win and lock down his 14th save. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:15 pm

    • Grayson Rodriguez goes seven strong in win
Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs across seven innings in a 4-2 win over the Guardians. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Advice: Rodriguez’s changeup was especially lethal in this one: dropping three inches more than his season average and forcing five swings and misses. He ended his day on a beautiful one low and out of the zone to Brayan Rocchio that got him through seven innings for the second time in three starts. It was also very encouraging to see him shake off a poor first few innings and get stronger as the game went on. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:14 pm
