    • Fans eight in no-decision
Parker did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Rockies on Saturday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over six innings while striking out eight.

Advice: All four runs against Parker came over the first three innings, topped off by a three-run blast from Brendan Rodgers. However, the right-hander would go on to finish strong, striking out the side in the sixth and fanning six of the final 12 batters he faced on the night. Parker matched his season high with eight strikeouts in the contest and he's now gone at least six innings in three of his last four starts, posting a 15:5 K:BB over that stretch. • Sharp in Saturday's win
Wheeler (9-4) picked up the win in Saturday's 12-1 rout of the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on two hits over seven innings. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander was dominant, generating 31 called or swinging strikes among his 97 pitches as he racked up his sixth quality start in his last seven trips to the mound. Wheeler is 5-1 over that stretch with a 2.96 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 42:13 K:BB through 45.2 innings, and he'll look to stay locked in for his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Marlins. • Mitchell Parker whiffs eight in no-decision
Mitchell Parker allowed four runs over six innings on Saturday in a no-decision against the Rockies.

Advice: The positive news here is that Parker notched eight strikeouts and managed to somewhat survive Coors Field’s high-octane offensive environment. He gave up six hits, including a three-run homer to Brendan Rodgers, which accounted for most of the damage against him in this one. He’s been a nice waiver wire addition for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues and will bring a respectable 3.30 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 58/17 K/BB ratio across 73 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road tilt on Friday against the Rays. • Wheeler goes seven, strikes out eight in win
Zack Wheeler allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Phillies’ 12-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Wheeler gave up two hits, walked none and struck out eight. The win was his ninth on the year. It was a big time bounce back from Wheeler, who had allowed eight runs to the Orioles in his last start. He looked like his normal self while dominating the Diamondbacks on Saturday. Wheeler’s ERA is now 2.73 on the season. The 34-year-old right-hander is set to face the Marlins at home next weekend.

    • Shut down from throwing
Romano experienced right elbow soreness after long tossing from 120 feet Friday and has been shut down from throwing, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Advice: Romano was slated to throw off the mound over the weekend, but he will now take a break while the team determines the next steps. Prior to landing on the injured list June 1, the 31-year-old closer registered eight saves across 15 outings with a 6.59 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over 13.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:40 am

    • Jordan Romano shut down due to elbow soreness
Jordan Romano has been shut down from throwing due to renewed right elbow soreness.

Advice: Not good. Romano has been out since late May recovering from a right elbow issue and the fact that he’s still experiencing soreness isn’t good. The issue cropped up during a long-tossing session on Friday and the Blue Jays have shut him down for the moment to determine his next steps. It’ll be Chad Green continuing to close for Toronto for at least a couple additional weeks with both Romano and Yimi García (elbow) sidelined due to injury. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:33 am

    • Builds up to 66 pitches
Williams (elbow) struck out four and allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks across five innings in his rehab start Friday with Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: Making the fifth start of his rehab assignment, Williams delivered his longest outing yet in terms of both innings and pitches (66, 47 strikes). A decision on Williams' next step hasn't been decided, but the Guardians may want to see him get over the 70-pitch mark with one more rehab start during the upcoming week before he makes his long-awaited return from the 60-day injured list. The young right-hander has been on the shelf all season with right elbow discomfort, an injury that stemmed from him making an awkward throw during a weighted-ball workout in spring training. • Facing hitters Sunday
Senga (shoulder) will throw live batting practice Sunday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Senga has had no issues throwing bullpen sessions over the last several days, so he will now graduate to throwing 20 pitches against hitters at the Mets' complex in Florida. Assuming all goes well, the 31-year-old righty will likely throw another few live sessions before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment with one of the Mets' minor-league affiliates. • Kodai Senga (shoulder) set to face hitters Sunday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) will progress to facing hitters on Sunday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: It’ll be the first time Senga faces hitters since experiencing a setback in his rehabilitation process back in late May. The 31-year-old righty is still weeks away from a potential return to New York’s starting rotation and isn’t going to make his season debut until sometime after next month’s All-Star break.
