      Advice: Ryan surrendered a two-run homer to Tyler Soderstrom in the second inning, but those were the only runs the A's managed against the righty hurler. Ryan finished with a stat line very similar to his previous outing, when he gave up two runs on three hits over seven frames versus Pittsburgh, though that performance came in a losing effort. The 28-year-old pitcher has four quality starts over his past five appearances and has posted a 2.73 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB across 33 frames during that span.     • Returns with loss Thursday
      Munoz (back) picked up the loss in the Mariners' extra-inning defeat against the White Sox, allowing an unearned run in the 10th inning.

      Advice: Munoz allowed a walk and a hit, with the go-ahead unearned run scoring on a fielder's choice scoring the automatic runner.       Henderson went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Atlanta.

      Advice: Henderson has two steals over 12 games in June, and he's gone 16-for-48 (.333) with three home runs and six doubles in that span. The shortstop has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 contests as he continues to provide all-around excellence from the top of the Orioles' lineup.       Brandon Pfaadt struck out eight while limiting the Angels to one run in six innings to get a win Thursday.

      Advice: Pfaadt did have some control issues with three walks and 62-of-108 pitches landing for strikes, but he was able to work out of jams thanks to the punchouts. It’s a much improved effort from last weekend when he gave up nine hits and five runs against San Diego. Pfaadt has shown almost zero consistency in his MLB career — at least not in a positive way — but the stuff is here for him to be a successful fantasy option.     • Ryan picks up fifth win against A’s Thursday
      Joe Ryan allowed two runs in seven innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Thursday.

      Advice: Ryan gave up three hits, walked one and struck out five. The win was his fifth of the year. Both of the runs for Oakland came on a Tyler Soderstrom two-run home run in the second inning. Ryan hung a splitter to Soderstrom, but it was basically the only mistake he made on the night. It was Ryan’s 10th quality start of the season. His ERA is now 3.24 on the year. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rays at home next week.

    • Diaz has two hits in win over Cubs Thursday
      Yandy Diaz went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Cubs on Thursday.



      Advice: Diaz’ RBI single was the difference in the 3-2 Rays win. The defending batting champion in the American League is heating up at the plate. He’s now 17-for-50 (.340) in his last 12 games to get his average up to .260 on the season.

      O'Hoppe (groin) is starting at catcher and batting fifth Thursday versus Arizona, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: O'Hoppe had to sit out Wednesday's contest after getting hit in the groin by a foul tip Tuesday, but he is seemingly feeling well enough to catch Griffin Canning in Thursday's series finale.       Logan O’Hoppe (groin) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: O’Hoppe is back handling the catching duties for Thursday’s series finale against Arizona following a one-game absence after taking a foul ball to the groin area during Tuesday’s contest.       Holmes (1-2) allowed two runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss and a blown save in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals.

      Advice: Holmes was one out away from his 20th save of the season before serving up a two-run double to Maikel Garcia. The 31-year-old closer had gone nine straight appearances without allowing a run and still carries an impressive 1.80 ERA for the season. As the ninth-inning man for the club with the most wins in MLB, he remains one of the safest options at the position with his 19 saves being tied for third most this season.
