      Advice: Arraez led off the game with a double off of Brandon Pfaadt, then raced around to score the Padres’ first run on an RBI single off the bat of Manny Machado. He singled in the third inning and then added an RBI single in the fourth inning. Arraez also led off the seventh inning with a single and scored on an RBI double by Machado. Arraez will head to the Padres after hitting .299 with a 719 OPS over 137 at-bats with the Marlins in 2023, and he’s a career .324/.377/.423 hitter in his time with the Fish and the Twins.       Advice: It's not immediately clear how Arraez will fit into the Padres' lineup, as San Diego already has a strong infield unit that includes Jake Cronenworth, Xander Bogaerts, Ha-Seong Kim and Manny Machado, but it's possible Arraez fills in as the Friars' primary designated hitter.       Advice: Passan notes that the Marlins will receive a package of three prospects and a relief pitcher in return for the two-time defending batting champion. The Padres already have a strong combo up the middle with Ha-Seong Kim and Xander Bogaerts, so its likely that the plan is to play Arraez at either first base or third base.       Advice: Díaz did reach on an error, but he was credited with four groundouts and one flyout today. His groundball rate is currently checking in at 62%, well above his already problematic career mark of 53%. Hopefully, it’s something he can straightened out in the next few weeks.       Advice: Candelario and Stuart Fairchild each homered in the seventh inning, closing a four-run deficit to two. It was the second consecutive game with multiple hits for Candelario, who endured an 0-for-19 slump heading into the series against the Padres.
