    • Steven Kwan out Sunday due to hamstring tightness
Steven Kwan (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Angels.

Advice: Kwan left Saturday with hamstring tightness, and it’s not surprising to see him out of the lineup for the series finale. With the 26-year-old out of action, the Guardians will have Will Brennan play in left field, which Estevan Florial will act as designated hitter and hit in Kwan’s leadoff spot. For now, he should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

    • Won't start Sunday
Kwan (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Kwan is out of the lineup for just the second time all season, with his absence coming as no surprise after he was removed from Saturday's 7-1 win left hamstring tightness. The 26-year-old is slated to undergo an MRI on Sunday, but the Guardians have yet to provide an update on the findings from those tests. Until the team offers more clarity on his status, Kwan should be viewed as day-to-day heading into Cleveland's upcoming seven-game week. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

    • Hitless in return
Siri (thigh) went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts during Saturday's 3-1 win against the Mets.

Advice: The 28-year-old was unavailable the previous two games while serving a suspension but was back in center field Saturday for the Rays. The thigh injury Siri suffered on a hit-by-pitch Tuesday also no longer seems to be a concern. He's back in center field for Sunday's series finale, batting ninth. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

    • Four hits in team debut
Arraez went 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Arraez wasted no time in establishing a good first impression with his new team, smacking a leadoff double on the second pitch he saw from Brandon Pfaadt in the opening frame before coming around to score San Diego's first run of the contest. The newly acquired infielder would add another three singles on the night, with the latter one leading to an eight-run seventh inning for the Padres. It marked Arraez's second game this season with four hits, and he's now registered at least one knock in seven straight. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago

    • Allows 10 hits in loss
Pfaadt (1-2) took the loss against the Padres on Saturday, allowing five runs (three earned) on 10 hits over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Pfaadt struggled with San Diego's lineup throughout the contest, allowing hits to three of the first four batters he faced and surrendering three runs over the first four innings - though one of those wouldn't be charged to him on account of a fielding error by Blaze Alexander. The right-hander was later relieved by Brandon Hughes in the seventh after surrendering back-to-back singles to open the frame, which led to an eight-run inning for the Padres. Despite his struggles on the night, Pfaadt still managed to log his second-consecutive quality start and has now posted a 15:0 K:BB over his last two outings. However, he also allowed a season-high 10 hits in Saturday's loss and hasn't posted a win since March 31. Rotowire.com Today, 6:17 am
    • Andrew Abbott strikes out eight in loss to O’s
Andrew Abbott surrendered two runs over five innings on Saturday in a loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Abbott managed to hold Baltimore’s solid lineup to just a pair of solo homers, but it wasn’t enough as his Orioles counterpart John Means reeled off seven shutout frames to saddle him with a loss. He finished with a season-high eight strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. He’ll bring a solid 3.32 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 35/11 K/BB ratio across 38 innings (seven starts) into a road matchup on Friday against the Giants. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:34 pm
    • Luis Arraez collects four hits in Padres debut
Luis Arraez had quite the night at the plate in his Padres debut on Saturday night, going 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI as the Padres walloped the Diamondbacks 13-1.

Advice: Arraez led off the game with a double off of Brandon Pfaadt, then raced around to score the Padres’ first run on an RBI single off the bat of Manny Machado. He singled in the third inning and then added an RBI single in the fourth inning. Arraez also led off the seventh inning with a single and scored on an RBI double by Machado. With the four-hit night, the 27-year-old infielder is now hitting .315/.359/.392 with six RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:07 pm

    • Brandon Pfaadt struggles in loss to Padres
Brandon Pfaadt struggled in a losing effort against the Padres on Saturday night, giving up five runs (three earned) on 10 hits over his six-plus innings of work.

Advice: Pfaadt struck out four batters on the evening and didn’t issue a base on balls. The Padres scratched out a run against him in the opening inning on an RBI single by Manny Machado, then tacked on two more runs in the fourth. Pfaadt returned for the seventh inning where he allowed singles to Luis Arraez and Fernando Tatis Jr. before exiting — and both of them ultimately came around to score. The 25-year-old right-hander got 11 whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 4.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 42/6 K/BB ratio (41 innings) into Friday’s start against the Orioles in Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:06 pm
    • Strikes out eight in loss
Abbott (1-4) took the loss to the Orioles on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings. He struck out eight without issuing a walk.

Advice: He retired eight straight batters at one point while showing great depth with his breaking pitches, but Jorge Mateo and Adley Rutschman touched him up for solo shots in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, and that was enough to send Abbott to his fourth loss in five decisions. The lefty has now allowed multiple homers in three of his last four outings, but he still has a highly respectable 3.32 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 38 innings this season. If Abbott can get the homer issue under control, he could take off, though that will be easier said than done as the weather heats up. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 pm
