      Joe Musgrove underwent an MRI that revealed a bone spur and contusion in his right elbow.

      Advice: Musgrove, who landed on the injured list last weekend with right elbow inflammation, received both a PRP and cortisone injections to address the issue and hopes to resume throwing in roughly two weeks. The 31-year-old righty told reporters arthroscopic surgery is possible if the issue doesn’t improve, but that’s not being considered as an option for now. That leaves Musgrove's potential timeline to return to the mound unclear, though it would be surprising to see him back on the mound prior to the All-Star break based on this most recent news.       Bryan Woo blanked the Athletics over six innings with six strikeouts in a 3-0 win for the Mariners on Thursday.

      Advice: Bad news for those hoping Crawford would bounce back against the White Sox.       Luzardo (2-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Rays, allowing nine runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: Luzardo got off to a solid start Tuesday, holding Tampa scoreless through his first three innings. However, he'd surrender four runs in the fourth, including three on a Brandon Lowe homer, before the Rays would proceed to put up a five-spot in the fifth. It was a career-worst outing for Luzardo, who came into the day with a 1.99 ERA over his previous five starts. His season ERA shot up from 4.18 to 5.30 with a 1.25 WHIP and 52:18 K:BB across 56 innings this season.       Kutter Crawford allowed six runs (four earned) on five hits in six innings in a loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

      Advice: Crawford has now allowed 15 earned runs in 16 1/3 innings in his last three starts. However, those starts were also against the Brewers, Braves, and Orioles. He was never going to carry over the 1.75 ERA he had over his first eight starts, but he’s also not pitching as poorly of late as those earned runs totals would indicate. He induced 12 whiffs on 51 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate on the day and lines up for a much better start against the White Sox this weekend.       Crawford (2-5) took the loss Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: The right-hander surrendered three extra-base hits Tuesday, which resulted in five of the six runs scored by Atlanta while Crawford was on the mound. Ozzie Albies and Jarred Kelenic came around to score after hitting doubles before Albies went yard on a three-run blast in the sixth inning. Tuesday's start was the latest in a rough patch for the 28-year-old Crawford, who's allowed four or more earned runs in four of his last five showings. During that span, Crawford is 0-4 with a 6.43 ERA across 28.0 innings. However, a road start against the White Sox on Sunday could be exactly what he needs to get back on track.
