    • Knocks homer in loss
Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Perez heads into the All-Star break 11-for-31 (.355) with three homers and eight RBI during his active eight-game hitting streak. The catcher is up to 17 homers on the year, giving him a good chance of surpassing the 23 he hit in each of the last two campaigns. He's added 62 RBI, 38 runs scored, 16 doubles and a .282/.343/.477 slash line over 94 contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:18 pm

    • Fires six shutout innings
Pepiot (6-5) yielded two hits over six scoreless frames Sunday, striking out four and earning a win over the Guardians.

Advice: Pepiot gave up a pair of singles and plunked one batter but never faced much of a threat Sunday. He generated 12 swinging strikes, with six coming via the fastball. Pepiot has been fairly inconsistent in the first half of 2024 but owns a solid 3.92 ERA with a 94:31 K:BB through 17 appearances. Over his last four outings, he's registered a 1.71 ERA but has turned in just one quality start. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:24 pm

    • Notches four-out save
Scott allowed two walks over 1.1 scoreless innings and earned a save against the Reds on Sunday. He struck out two batters.

Advice: Scott faced a two-on, two-out situation in the ninth inning but struck out Edwin Rios to close out the 3-2 win. He's riding a 12.1-inning scoreless streak while converting six straight save chances. He's now 14 for 16 in save opportunities with a stellar 1.34 ERA through 39 appearances. • Hurting but won't miss start
Suarez won't be available for Tuesday's All-Star Game while he recovers from back tightness, but the Phillies expect him to be available to make his first start of the second half July 22 or 23 in Minnesota, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Suarez hasn't been forced to miss any time due to the back issue and likely would have been available to start during the upcoming week if the Phillies needed him, but he'll instead use the All-Star break to heal up while he's less than 100 percent healthy. Though he's in the midst of a career-best season and was looking forward to pitching in his first Midsummer Classic, Suarez clearly hasn't been at his best of late, as he has struggled to an 8.62 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 13:7 K:BB in 15.2 innings over his last three starts, two of which have come against sub-.500 clubs in the Marlins and Athletics. Suarez won't travel to Arlington, Texas, for the All-Star Game and will instead remain in Philadelphia to continue throwing. Zack Wheeler is also tending to a back issue and will skip the All-Star Game, but both he and Suarez are expected to take the hill in some order when the Phillies next require fourth and fifth starters July 22 and 23. • Salvador Perez goes 2-for-4, hits 17th homer
Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 and hit his 17th homer against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Perez slumped in June, but he’s bounced back nicely of late and will enter the All-Star break with an eight-game hitting streak. The homer today was his third during the streak and sixth in his last 18 games. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:54 pm

    • Scott snags 14th save in win over Mets
Tanner Scott escaped a ninth-inning jam to secure a 3-2 win over the Reds on Sunday and pick up his 14th save.

Advice: Scott was called on to face Spencer Steer with two outs in the eighth inning and a runner on first, and he got Steer to foul out. He then walked the first batter of the ninth inning and after a groundout moved the runner to second base, intentionally walked another batter before getting Edwin Rias swinging to end the game. Command continues to be a concern for Scott, but he has a 1.34 ERA on the season and figures to be a much-discussed name at the trade deadline. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:55 pm

    • Turner homers in loss for Phillies
Trea Turner went 2-for-2 with a solo home run in a loss to the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Turner was removed from the game early with the Phillies getting absolutely destroyed, but he is fully healthy heading into the break. In fact, Turner is more than just healthy, homering in eight of his last 12 games. He may have only appeared in 57 games so far this season, but the production has been elite over those games. • Ryan Pepiot stellar in win over Guardians
Ryan Pepiot threw six shutout innings, allowing two hits while striking out four in a win over the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Pepiot didn’t walk a batter and has now strung together two good performances after a poor start against the Royals at the beginning of the month. The right-hander induced 12 whiffs on 45 swings for a 27 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW on the day. He’ll carry a 3.92 ERA into the second half of the season and is one of the top candidates to have a much better second half of the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:59 pm

    • Andrew Vaughn gets Sunday off against Pirates
Andrew Vaughn is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Vaughn will get an afternoon off and then get a week off due to the All-Star break. Gavin Sheets will get the start at first base while Vaughn takes a seat to begin the contest. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:54 am
