    • Resting Wednesday
Jeffers isn't in the Twins' lineup for Wednesday's game versus Detroit.

Advice: Jeffers and Christian Vazquez continue to alternate starts behind the plate, with Wednesday marking Vazquez's turn to catch. Jeffers went 0-for-4 with an RBI during Tuesday's win, leaving him hitless in eight at-bats over his last two contests. Rotowire.com 39 minutes ago
    • Returning to leadoff spot
Springer is batting leadoff as the designated hitter for Wednesday's game against the Astros, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Springer was moved out of his customary leadoff spot in early May and had a .188/.278/.281 slash line through 71 games this season, but his bat has come alive over the past week. The veteran outfielder is in the midst of a seven-game hit streak and has gone 12-for-24 with two doubles, four homers, 12 RBI and five runs during that span. It remains to be seen if he can translate the hot stretch into a sustained turnaround, but it was apparently enough for manager John Schneider to give Springer another opportunity atop the lineup. • Delivers three-run homer
Springer went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Astros.

Advice: Springer tagged Spencer Arrighetti for a long ball in the third inning, extending the Blue Jays' lead to 5-0. The outfielder is riding a seven-game hit streak, swatting four homers and driving in 13 runs during that stretch. On the year, Springer has hit nine homers and swiped nine bases in 322 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:54 pm

    • Snags fourth win
Clase (4-1) pitched a perfect inning to earn the win Tuesday over the White Sox.

Advice: Clase kept the game tied at 6-6 in the top of the ninth inning, needing just 10 pitches to retire the side. Bo Naylor's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame sealed the win for the Guardians, giving Clase his first decision since May 19. The closer is on an eight-inning scoreless streak and has maintained elite ratios with a 0.67 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 39:4 K:BB through 40.1 innings overall. Clase is also 25-for-28 in save chances this year, with the Guardians having bounced back to win in all three of his blown saves. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:36 pm
    • Anthony Santander propels Orioles past Mariners
Anthony Santander went 2-for-4 and drove in a run on Tuesday evening, leading the Orioles to a 2-0 victory over the Mariners in Seattle.

Advice: Santander broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning as he smacked an RBI single into right field off of George Kirby in the fourth inning that plated Gunnar Henderson. The 29-year-old outfielder also led off the second inning with a single, but he was ultimately erased on a double play. With his two-hit attack, Santander is now hitting .234/.302/.503 with 22 homers and 56 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:32 pm
    • Craig Kimbrel slams door on Mariners on Tuesday
Craig Kimbrel slammed the door on the Mariners on Tuesday night, retiring all three hitters that he faced in the ninth inning to preserve a two-run advantage.

Advice: It wasn’t the smoothest of innings for Kimbrel, as he plunked Luke Raley to start the frame and also hit Jorge Polanco with one out in the inning, but he rebounded to get Dominic Canzone on a ground out to first and Julio Rodriguez on strikes to end it. Aside from a small blip early in the season, Kimbrel has been exceptional in the ninth inning for the Orioles this season. He has now converted 20 of his first 24 save opportunities on the season while posting a 2.30 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 46/14 K/BB ratio over 31 1/3 innings in 35 appearances. • Collects 20th save
Kimbrel hit two batters and struck out two in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Kimbrel was a little wild, but he didn't let the extra traffic on the bases rattle him. After allowing just two runs (one earned) over 9.1 innings in June, he's off to a decent start in July, with this outing also being his 20th save of the campaign. Overall, he's at a 2.30 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 46:14 K:BB through 31.1 innings this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:44 pm
    • George Springer homers in win
George Springer went 1-for-4 with three RBI in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s been a good stretch for Springer of late, hitting .334 over his last 11 games with four home runs, 13 RBI, and one steal. He’s been making consistent contact all season but failing to lift the ball, which has limited his upside, but perhaps this recent stretch is the beginning of a bit of a resurgence. He remains in the lower third of the lineup, which will impact his run totals and he may struggle to top last year’s batting average and home run totals, but he should be a solid contributor in deeper fantasy formats, provided the Blue Jays don’t trade away a lot of their lineup at the deadline. • Emmanuel Clase earns win against White Sox
Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a 7-6 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase pitched the ninth in a tie game and allowed no runs with no hits, no strikeouts, and no walks. He then earned a win when the Guardians scored off Michael Kopech in the bottom of the inning. He now has a 4-1 record to go along with 25 saves on the season. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.
