    • Trevor Megill works scoreless ninth in tie game
Trevor Megill worked a scoreless ninth in a tie game Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Megill got a visit from the trainer after apparent tweaking his ankle while covering first base, but he was allowed to continue. He wound up preserving the tie in the ninth before the Brewers lost in the 10th. Rotoworld Today, 9:19 pm

    • Nolan Jones collects two hits in Rockies’ win
Nolan Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk versus the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: The second hit also would have been at least a double, but it hit first base umpire Brian O’Nora on its way down the first base line, resulting in a single. Jones has had issues with strikeouts since coming off the IL last month, but he’s hitting the ball harder than he did in April and drawing a bunch of walks (12 in 15 games). He should prove pretty useful in mixed leagues the rest of the way. Rotoworld Today, 9:19 pm

    • Swipes 14th bag
Abrams went 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: The Nationals had only three hits on the afternoon, so while Abrams was busy on the basepaths, his efforts couldn't generate any offense. The 23-year-old shortstop had been slumping heading into June, but he wrapped up the month with a dazzling .373/.464/.663 slash line in 97 plate appearances, adding four of his 13 homers on the season and six of his 14 steals. • Reaches 30-save milestone
Helsley struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Advice: Helsley efficiently rolled through the Reds' 2-3-4 hitters with just 10 pitches. He extended his MLB save lead and became the first pitcher in the 2024 season to reach 30 saves. He's converted those 30 saves consecutively after blowing his first opportunity of the year March 30. Helsley is sporting a 2.61 ERA with a 46:16 K:BB through 38 innings. • Rounding into form
Cole (1-1) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on three hits, a walk and two hit batsmen over five innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out six.

Advice: Cole continues to struggle with his command as he rounds into form following a two-plus month stint on the IL with a nerve irritation in his elbow, but Sunday's performance represented a major step in the right direction. After walking four and allowing four homers in his previous start, Cole allowed a single run in the third, then struck out three of the last six batters he faced as he sent the Blue Jays down in order in the fourth and fifth innings to close out his day. The five innings pitched, 90 pitches thrown, one run allowed and six strikeouts each represented a season-best total for Cole, who continues to inch his way back toward his normal workload. He's tentatively slated to toe the rubber again next weekend in an AL East showdown when the Yankees welcome the Red Sox to the Bronx. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:22 pm
    • Picks up 16th save
Jansen earned the save Sunday against San Diego, striking out one batter during a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Jansen was lights-out, and he has now converted on 12 straight save chances. It was his seventh straight appearance without allowing a run. He's been fantastic as of late, with a 0.70 ERA over his last 12 appearances. The 36-year-old has converted 16 of 17 save chances this season and will carry a 2.22 ERA and 1.02 WHIP into July. • Burleson drives in a run in win over Reds Sunday
Alec Burleson went 1-for-3 with an RBI against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Burleson started the scoring with an RBI single in the fifth inning to put the Cardinals on the board. He’s 12-for-30 (.400) with 13 RBI in his last nine games. Burleson is hitting .278 with a .768 OPS and 38 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:01 pm

    • Helsley tosses scoreless ninth for 30th save
Ryan Helsley pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Hensley’s save was his 30th and he recorded two strikeouts in the process. His ERA is 2.61 on the season. Helsley’s well on his way to a 40-save season and anything beyond that would just be a monster year for fantasy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:57 pm

    • Gerrit Cole wins, rights ship against Blue Jays
Gerrit Cole scattered three hits and a walk across five innings on Sunday in an 8-1 win over the Blue Jays. He allowed one run and struck out six.

Advice: This was the first time this season Cole looked like himself. His fastball velocity was much more consistent than it had been in either of his first two starts and he showed no hesitation in challenging the Blue Jays hitters with it. He also showed better command of his secondaries and the Yankees let him work all the way up to 90 pitches. While not perfect, this was the kind of start we needed to see from Cole.
