    • Pops eighth homer
Thomas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder took Ryne Nelson deep in the third inning to give the Nationals an early lead that quickly slipped away. Thomas had a tough start to the season due to injuries, but he appears healthy now and back in his 2023 form. He's hit safely in 11 of the last 13 games, slashing .292/.345/.667 over that stretch with five of his eight homers on the year and 12 of his 23 runs. Rotowire.com Today, 6:41 am
    • Goes deep in win
De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win over St. Louis.

Advice: De La Cruz led off the contest with a 429-foot solo shot off Matthew Liberatore. The 27-year-old outfielder has gone 4-for-14 with a pair of homers in his last three games -- De La Cruz is up to 13 long balls this year, putting him well on pace to surpass his career high of 19. Overall, he's slashing .245/.296/.424 with 34 RBI and 34 runs scored across 314 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:43 pm

    • Lane Thomas scores run in victory over D’Backs
Lane Thomas drew a walk and scored a run on Wednesday as the Nationals triumphed over the Diamondbacks in Washington.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder worked a two-out walk off of Brandon Pfaadt in the sixth inning and then rode home on Jesse Winker’s go-ahead two-run blast. He finished the afternoon hitless in three at-bats. On the season, the dynamic outfielder is slashing just .228/.292/.386, though he has slugged seven homers and stolen 16 bases (in 20 attempts). • Idle against southpaw
Conforto is not in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the Cubs.

Advice: Conforto will head to the bench as the Giants square off with southpaw Justin Steele. Austin Slater will take over in left field and bat leadoff against Chicago. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:26 pm
    • Smacks 12th home run
De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Monday's 7-6 extra-innings loss versus the Cardinals.

Advice: The 27-year-old's only hit in this game was a big one, as he tied the score at 4-4 with a three-run blast off JoJo Romero in the eighth inning. De La Cruz is already up to 12 homers in 2024 after he totaled 19 long balls in 153 games last year. The power production helps offset De La Cruz's underwhelming .242/.295/.416 slash line. • LaMonte Wade (hamstring) doubtful for Thursday
LaMonte Wade Jr. probably isn’t going to be able to make it back into the Giants lineup for the Rickwood game in Alabama on Thursday.

Advice: Wade has been aiming to play in the contest, but his strained left hamstring isn’t quite ready yet. The Giants have been getting by with Wilmer Flores and Trenton Brooks at first base. Brooks will most likely be demoted once Wade is ready. Rotoworld Monday, 3:32 pm

    • Not in Monday's lineup
Marte is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Rangers starter Jon Gray has held Marte in check during their matchups, with Marte producing a 611 OPS in 20 plate appearances. Marte will begin Monday's game on the bench as DJ Stewart spells him in right field. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:58 pm

    • Unlikely to return this week
Giants manager Bob Melvin said Sunday that it's likely a "stretch" for Wade (hamstring) to return from the 10-day injured list before Thursday's matchup with the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala., MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wade was diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain after suffering the injury while sliding into second base in a May 27 win over the Phillies. Though a Grade 2 strain often entails a recovery timeline of more than a month, Wade said last week that his goal was to make it back for MLB's June 20 Negro Leagues tribute game as the Giants' designated hitter. Wade took steps forward this past week by taking batting practice on the field and increasing the intensity of his running progression, but the 30-year-old looks like he'll still at least one week away from being a realistic option to return from the IL. Wilmer Flores should continue to serve as the Giants' primary first baseman while Wade remains out. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:18 am

    • Stays hot with homer
Thomas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win against Miami.

Advice: Thomas is red-hot, hitting a home run for the third consecutive game and extending his hitting streak to 10 games. During the streak, the 28-year-old is batting .351 with four home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and one stolen base. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:59 pm
