    • Ryan Pepiot has quality start in win
Ryan Pepiot allowed three runs on six hits in six innings in a win over the Marlins on Tuesday.

Advice: Pepiot struck out eight and walked none and now has 15 strikeouts over 11 2/3 innings over his last two starts. The 26-year-old earned 13 whiffs on his four-seam fastball and 17 whiffs overall on 52 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW. His first season in Tampa Bay has been a success thanks in part to better fastball usage up in the zone. He’ll carry a 3.96 ERA into a tough start against the Orioles next week. • Escapes with no-decision Saturday
Bradish came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays, giving up five runs on seven hits and three walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander wasn't at his sharpest, but he mostly got pecked to death as only one of the hits off him -- a triple by Yandy Diaz in the second inning -- went for extra bases. Bradish got more than enough run support to avoid his first loss of the season, however. He'll take a 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 40:14 K:BB through 28.1 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Toronto. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:34 am

    • Cruises to win
Yamamoto (6-2) allowed a run on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win over the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Yamamoto bounced back from a loss his last time out with a strong performance. He's earned quality starts in four of his last six outings, allowing 13 runs over 37 innings in that span. The rookie right-hander has a 3.32 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 76:14 K:BB over 65 innings across 12 starts this season. Yamamoto is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Yankees, which is a formidable matchup. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:54 pm
    • Kyle Bradish surrenders five runs in no-decision
Kyle Bradish allowed five runs with six strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Bradish was able to work around a pair of hits in the first inning, but allowed three runs in to score in the second on three singles and a triple. Things fell apart for Bradish in the third. A wild pitch put a runner on before he walked three straight batters to bring a run in. He was replaced with two outs in the inning at 76 pitches. He struck out six. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and a 40/14 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings into a start against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Thursday. • Loses to Rockies
Buehler (1-3) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out seven over six innings, taking the loss Friday versus the Rockies.

Advice: Buehler gave up three runs in the third inning and a solo home run to Ezequiel Tovar in the fourth. While it wasn't a particularly sharp outing for Buehler, the Dodgers failed to support him with just five hits and two walks. He has two quality starts in five outings since returning from Tommy John surgery. Buehler is at a 4.32 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB over 25 innings this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Pirates. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:08 pm

    • Walker Buehler gives up three earned in defeat
Walker Buehler allowed four runs — three earned — in a loss Friday to the Rockies.

Advice: Buehler dealt with control issues, as he walked four while throwing 56-of-92 pitches for strikes. The 29-year-old allowed three runs in the third with run-scoring hits by Brendan Rodgers and Kris Bryant, and an inning later he allowed a solo shot to Ezequiel Tovar. It wasn’t a horrific start and Buehler did strike out seven, but a disappointing one considering the opponent. He’ll get the Pirates next week, assuming the rotation doesn’t change. • Fans seven in no-decision
Pepiot allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Oakland on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot appeared on his way to a quality start after giving up one run through five frames, but he was pulled with two outs in the sixth after allowing two batters to reach base, and one came around to score after his departure. Still, this was a positive step forward in the right-hander's second game back following a stint on the injured list. Pepiot gave up three runs over just four frames while walking four batters in his return from the IL last Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:49 pm

    • Takes first loss
Imanaga (5-1) took the loss Wednesday versus the Brewers, allowing seven runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out one over 4.1 innings.

Advice: Imanaga's last scheduled start was rained out, and instead of pushing him back, the Cubs opted to build in some extra rest for the southpaw. That plan appears to have backfired, as the seven runs he allowed Wednesday matched the total he'd given up in his first nine starts combined. His ERA rose from 0.84 to 1.86, and he's added a 1.00 WHIP and 59:10 K:BB across 58 innings through his first 10 big-league starts. Imanaga will look to shake off his first poor outing when he next takes the mound, which is tentatively projected to be a home start versus the White Sox. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:10 pm

    • Shota Imanaga hit for seven runs against Brewers
Shota Imanaga allowed seven runs with one strikeout over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Brewers on Wednesday.

Advice: Coming off 10 days of rest, Imanaga had his worst outing of the year on Wednesday, giving up more earned runs than he had all season. He came into this one with just five extra-base hits allowed and the Brewers matched that with five off Imanaga. Christian Yelich got the scoring started with a two-run blast in the first inning. Five hits, including a two-run homer by Blake Perkins, would bring five more runs in to score in the third. Imanaga would pitch into the fifth, leaving with one out and one runner on at 81 pitches. Even after the blowup outing, the 30-year-old left-hander holds an outstanding 1.86 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 59/10 K/BB ratio across 58 innings. He’ll look to put this one behind him and get back on track against the White Sox at Wrigley Field on Tuesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:17 pm
