Outman went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base Tuesday in a 10-2 win against the Giants.

Advice: Batting out of the No. 9 hole, Outman reached base twice for the first time since May 4 and knocked just his second extra-base hit since April 24. It's been a struggle for the outfielder in his sophomore MLB campaign, as he's slashing a meager .155/.256/.282 with three homers, 10 RBI, two steals and a 31.6 percent strikeout rate through 117 plate appearances. He's gone 2-for-22 with 10 punchouts over eight games in May. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:09 am

    • Running less
Duran has attempted five steals over the last 35 games, after he opened the season with six steals in the first six games.

Advice: There are a few factors that explain the drop in attempts, per Alex Speier of The Boston Globe. Opposing teams became aware of Duran's potential impact, and the Red Sox have been more judicious after running into several outs early in the season. Additionally, manager Alex Cora asked Duran to run less given that he plays every day. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:03 pm

    • Blasts 10th homer
O'Neill went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk during Monday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: O'Neill's first-inning three-run blast provided all the scoring for the Red Sox on Monday. It was the first homer since April 27 for the slumping O'Neill, who hit .333 with nine homers over his first 19 games, but had gone just 7-for-44 (.159) with six walks and 22 strikeouts over the most recent 12 game homer-less stretch prior to Monday. • Tyler O’Neill blasts three-run homer in loss to Rays
Tyler O’Neill slugged a three-run homer on Monday in the Red Sox’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: O’Neill took Rays ace Zach Eflin deep with a gargantuan 426-foot moonshot over the Green Monster at Fenway Park for his 10th round-tripper of the season. It wound up being his lone hit in three at-bats in a low-scoring affair. The 28-year-old slugger has fit in exceptionally well with the Red Sox after signing a one-year pact in the offseason and appears to be on the way to eclipsing the 30-homer plateau for the first time since the 2021 campaign, if he can stay on the field. • Rehab games could come this week
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Monday that Robert (hip) could begin playing in games with the team's rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate later this week, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Advice: The White Sox are aiming for Robert to be able to run at 90 percent effort in the coming days. If that happens, Robert is expected to be cleared for Complex League games. The 26-year-old presumably would eventually move up to a higher-level affiliate to continue his rehab. Robert has been out since early April with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain but should return from the 10-day injured list before the end of the month if all goes well. • Luis Robert Jr. could play rehab games this week
The White Sox are hoping to get Luis Robert Jr. (hip) into rehab games later this week.

Advice: Robert still isn’t running at full strength, but the White Sox insist on being aggressive with injuries, no matter how often it’s come back to bite them. It doesn’t seem likely that Robert will spend much time on a rehab assignment, so he might back to contribute in fantasy leagues next week. Rotoworld Monday, 2:18 pm

    • Unsure about return timeline
Trout said Thursday that he doesn't yet have a timeline to return from the surgery he underwent on his left knee, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports. The slugger also stated that he was given the option to postpone surgery until after the season and play exclusively as a designated hitter, but he opted to get the procedure done immediately.

Advice: Trout underwent surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee May 3. The Angels have stated that they expect the three-time AL MVP to return before the end of the season, but it remains unclear exactly how much time he's expected to miss. Though Trout could have played through the injury and held off on surgery in order to serve as the Angels' DH, he may not have been able to do so at his usual level of effectiveness, as he indicated that such a route would have required a high level of injury management and substantial pain. • Heads to bench Sunday
Outman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Andy Pages will draw the start in center field while Outman retreats to the bench for the series finale. Outman went hitless across six at-bats while starting in the first two games of the series, bringing his batting average down to .153 for the season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:48 am

    • James Outman sitting Sunday vs. Padres
James Outman is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Padres.

Advice: Outman gets a day off even with right-hander Yu Darvish on the bump for the Padres. Enrique Hernandez gets the start in left field while Outman gets a day off. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:10 am
