    • Plays catch
Eflin (back) was able to play catch Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Eflin was placed on the injured list with an effective date of May 19. He was projected to miss two-to-four weeks when first diagnosed, so he'll need to make significant progress quickly to hit the lower range of that timeline. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:13 am

    • Hit hard again Sunday
Lopez (4-5) allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six over 4.2 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Rangers.

Advice: Corey Seager led the charge against Lopez with two home runs and three RBI. Lopez has now allowed 16 runs and 25 hits over his last 16 innings, with five of those knocks being homers. He had a 3.89 ERA after his May 9 start versus the Mariners, but it's now at 5.25 with a 1.17 WHIP and 69:10 K:BB through 60 innings across 11 outings this season. Lopez is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Astros. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:44 pm

    • Pablo López struggles again, allows six runs
Pablo López allowed six earned runs in 4 ⅔ innings against the Rangers on Sunday. He struck out six and walked one.

Advice: López continued what’s been a poor season thus far. The six strikeouts were nice, but came with only seven swings and misses. He’s at his best when he’s missing bats with all four of his pitches, but neither his changeup nor curveball induced a whiff in this one. His strong peripherals suggest a bounce back is coming, but a 5.25 ERA on Memorial Day is quite ugly. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:27 pm

    • Another quality start Saturday
Gilbert gave up one run on three hits over six innings in a no-decision against the Nationals on Saturday. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Advice: Gilbert allowed a run in the second inning on a couple singles, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly, but that was the extent of the damage. While his efforts weren't rewarded with a win, Gilbert continued his run of strong pitching with a third consecutive quality start since his eight-run hiccup in Minnesota on May 9. Gilbert is tied with Jose Berrios and Seth Lugo for the most quality starts in baseball this season with nine in 11 turns to date. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:48 pm

    • Gilbert gives up just one run over six in no-decision
Logan Gilbert allowed just one run in six innings while striking out four in a no-decision Saturday against the Nationals.

Advice: It was surprising to see Gilbert done after just six innings, as he threw only 78 pitches in the contest. The right-hander gave up just three hits, and two of those were of the infield variety. Gilbert was shaky against New York on Monday, but this was much more in line with what the 27-year-old has shown for the majority of the season. He takes a 3.06 ERA into a start scheduled for Thursday against the Astros. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:28 pm

    • Bailey Ober earns fifth victory for Twins
Bailey Ober threw five innings of two-run ball for the win as the Twins edged the Rangers 3-2 on Friday.

Advice: Marcus Semien singled and Corey Seager homered to start the top of the first, but those proved to be the only runs of the night for Texas. Ober wasn’t as efficient as usual in walking three and throwing 99 pitches in five innings tonight, but he got the job done. He’s 5-2 with a 4.33 ERA. Rotoworld Friday, 10:06 pm

    • Earns victory over Rangers
Ober (5-2) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over Texas.

Advice: Ober coughed up a two-run shot to Corey Seager in the first inning but settled in for a solid outing after that. Despite striking out just five batters, Ober forced a season-high 16 whiffs, including seven with his changeup. He's generated at least 12 swinging strikes in six of his last seven starts. He owns a 4.33 ERA through 10 starts and a 3.02 ERA over his last nine. Ober's next outing is expected to come at home against the Royals. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:33 pm

    • Falls to Washington
Kirby (4-5) took the loss Friday against the Nationals, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Kirby was hurt by the home-run ball Friday, with all five runs coming on a pair of long balls. The 26-year-old Kirby's hit a rough patch recently, allowing four or more runs in three of his last four outings. His ERA is up to 4.33 despite a solid 1.03 WHIP and 57:6 K:BB over 11 starts (62.1 innings). Kirby will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently lined up for next week at home against the Astros. Rotowire.com Friday, 6:58 pm

    • George Kirby struggles, hit hard in Washington
George Kirby allowed five earned runs across six innings on Friday against the Nationals. He struck out three and walked one.

Advice: Another uneven start for Kirby in what’s been an inconsistent first quarter of the season. All five of his earned runs came via the long ball and he was especially frustrated after Keibert Ruiz took him deep on a 3-2 sinker with two outs in the sixth inning. The Mariners had 10 hard-hit balls in total. Kirby’s still a great pitcher, but there may be a question as to whether his total aversion to walks, 3.0 BB% for his career, could hold him back some from finding the right approach to make him elite.
