    • Goes seven strong to earn win
Eovaldi (3-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings against the Giants. He struck out five.

Advice: Eovaldi was staked to a 5-0 lead after two and cruised through seven, merely allowing single runs in each of the third and fourth innings as he rolled to his third victory. More importantly, he was also extended to near his full workload, completing seven innings on 90 pitches after tossing 37 and 71 in his previous two starts following a nearly four-week stint on the IL with a groin injury. It was the seventh start out of 10 for Eovaldi with at least five innings while allowing two or fewer runs. He'll carry a 2.68 ERA and 1.09 WHIP into his next start, likely to take place next weekend when the Rangers travel to Seattle for a weekend showdown against the Mariners. • Eovaldi looks solid in win over Giants
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Eovaldi also struck out five and walked one on the day. He pounded the zone regularly on the day with a 37 percent CSW and 24 percent whiff rate and his only real mistake was a solo home run to Mike Yastrzemski. The veteran will take a 2.68 ERA into a good start against the Mariners next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:30 pm
    • Not used in save situation
Diaz was not brought in to close out Saturday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Lucas Sims opened the ninth inning before departing with two runners on base, giving way to Lucas Sims, and then Justin Wilson picked up the save. Presumably, Diaz was not used because he threw 42 pitches over the previous two days while working in back-to-back appearances leading up to Saturday's game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:11 am
    • Escapes with 13th save
Diaz gave up a run on a hit and a walk in the ninth inning Friday, recording his 13th save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Cubs. He struck out one.

Advice: The right-hander made things difficult once again, issuing a free pass with two outs before a Miguel Amaya double brought the tying run to the plate. Diaz was able to strike out Patrick Wisdom to end the game, however. Diaz has walked a batter in four straight appearances, but he's successfully converted six straight save chances. On the season, he carries a rough 5.55 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 27:18 K:BB through 24.1 innings, but for now the Reds are willing to let him work through his control issues. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:30 am
    • Takes hard-luck loss
Ryan (4-5) was stuck with the loss Friday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Ryan was excellent Friday, but the Twins couldn't muster any offense against Mitch Keller in an eventual 3-0 defeat. Despite the loss, it was a strong bounce-back effort from Ryan after he allowed five runs in five innings in a loss to Houston in his last outing. The right-hander sports a 3.30 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and 85:13 K:BB across 79 innings. Ryan's currently in line for a home matchup with the Rockies in his next start. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:09 pm

    • Secures 21st save
Helsley picked up the save in Friday's 8-5 victory over Colorado. He pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.

Advice: Helsley handily retired all three batters faced in his third consecutive scoreless outing to gather his league-leading 21st save. The Cardinals closer has been stellar, suffering just one blown save in his 28 total appearances. Overall, the 29-year-old flamethrower sports a 2.25 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB in 28 innings this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:02 pm
    • Ryan Helsley picks up 21st save vs. Rockies
Ryan Helsley converted a save while not allowing a run during Friday’s game against the Rockies.

Advice: Helsley breezed through his inning with a pair of strikeouts and needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 21st save of the season. The right-hander has had a couple scuffles in the first two-plus months of the campaign, but overall there haven’t been many stoppers better in 2024. Rotoworld Friday, 8:27 pm
    • Alexis Díaz gives up run, earns 13th save
Alexis Díaz recorded his 13th save despite giving up a run in the ninth Friday against the Cubs.

Advice: After getting two well-hit lineouts to start the ninth, Díaz walked a batter and allowed an RBI double. He then struck out Patrick Wisdom to end the game with a 3-2 score. Díaz has made 26 appearances this season and turned in a perfect inning three times. Still, as shaky as he’s been, he’s 13-for-15 saving games. Rotoworld Friday, 6:43 pm
    • Ryan allows two runs in loss Friday
Joe Ryan allowed two runs in seven innings and took the loss against the Pirates on Friday night.

Advice: Ryan gave up two hits, walked two and struck out eight. The runs against Ryan came on an Oneil Cruz solo home run and a sacrifice fly by Nick Gonzales. He pitched well but didn’t get any run support from the Twins lineup. Ryan had won three of his last five previous starts. His ERA is now 3.30 on the season. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rockies at home next week.
