    • Picks up another shaky save
Helsley allowed a run on three hits in one inning but earned the save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Cubs. He struck out a batter in the outing.

Advice: Helsley ran into trouble against the Cubs for the second consecutive night and was still able to escape with a save. He allowed a leadoff home run to Ian Happ and then gave up back-to-back two-out singles before getting Seiya Suzuki to end things with a fly out. That's now seven hits and three runs given up by Helsley over his last two appearances, though both still turned into saves. He's tied with Emmanuel Clase atop baseball with 17 saves and still owns excellent overall numbers with a 2.25 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB in 24 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:43 am

    • Ryan Helsley serves up homer, still records save
Ryan Helsley served up a solo homer to Ian Happ in the ninth inning on Sunday night, but still managed to escape with the lead intact and earn his 17th save of the season.

Advice: After giving up a leadoff blast to Happ that trimmed the Cardinals’ lead to one run, he then retired Dansby Swanson on a line drive to third base and struck out Michael Busch. He then allowed a pair of two-out singles to Nick Madrigal and Mike Tauchman before getting Seiya Suzuki on a line drive to center to end it. The Cardinals’ stopper has now converted 17 of his first 18 save chances on the season while producing a stellar 2.25 ERA. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:20 pm

    • Alexis Díaz fans two to earn 10th save
Alexis Díaz struck out both batters he faced for a save Sunday against the Dodgers.

Advice: The Reds were up 4-0 to start the ninth, so Díaz didn’t enter then. Instead, he came in after Carson Spiers allowed Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman to reach with one out, creating the save opportunity. Díaz then retired Teoscar Hernández and Andy Pages to end the game. It was the 10th save in 12 opportunities for Díaz, who came into the day having allowed eight earned runs in 7 2/3 innings this month. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:29 pm

    • Grabs 10th save
Diaz struck out both batters he faced to pick up his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Diaz closed the door on the Dodgers for the second consecutive game, though he ran both counts full and needed 16 pitches to record the final two outs. It was the fourth consecutive scoreless outing for Diaz, who appears to be turning things around after allowing 17 baserunners and 10 runs (nine earned) while blowing a save and earning two losses over his previous seven appearances spanning 5.2 innings between April 29 and May 19. • Earns ninth save
Diaz threw a perfect ninth inning against the Dodgers on Saturday to secure his ninth save of the season.

Advice: Diaz sat down Freddie Freeman, Will Smith and Teoscar Hernandez on a total of seven pitches to nail down the win for starter Hunter Greene. While Diaz still has an ugly 5.95 ERA this season, his job as the Reds' closer is not in jeopardy. He's squandered just one save in his last 10 chances, and with only two hits and two walks allowed in his last four appearances, Diaz seems to have turned the page after a rough stretch in mid-May. • Escapes with save
Helsley allowed two runs on four hits in one inning but earned the save in Saturday's 7-6 win over the Cubs. He did not walk or strike out a batter.

Advice: Helsley had gone 11 innings without allowing a run, and he hadn't given up multiple hits in an appearance since April 27. Luckily for the Cardinals, they gave him a three-run lead to protect, and that was just enough leeway in this one. Helsley is 16-for-17 in save chances this season with a 1.96 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB over 23 innings. His lone blown save came in his season debut, and he remains one of the top closers in baseball despite pitching for a mediocre team. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:01 pm

    • Ryan Helsley closes out Cubs on Saturday night
Ryan Helsley walked the tightrope in the ninth inning on Saturday against the Cubs, but managed to escape with the lead intact to earn his 16th save of the season.

Advice: Helsley took over with a three-run lead to protect, but immediately made things interesting by allowing singles to Dansby Swanson and Nick Madrigal to start the inning. After retiring Ian Happ, he allowed a run-scoring single to Mike Tauchman and a two-out RBI single to Cody Bellinger that made it a one-run game. He battled back though, getting Christopher Morel to bounce into a fielder’s choice to end it. Helsley has now made good on 16 of his first 17 save chances on the season while posting a 1.96 ERA. • Alexis Díaz slams door on Dodgers on Saturday
Alexis Díaz slammed the door on the Dodgers on Saturday night, protecting a two-run lead to earn his ninth save of the season.

Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander looked like the dominant force of yesteryear in this one, getting Freddie Freeman on a fly ball to left, Will Smith on a fly ball to right and Teoscar Hernandez on a ground ball to second base — needing just seven pitches (all strikes) to retire the side in order. He has now delivered three straight scoreless outings and successfully converted each of his last two save chances. He now holds a 5.95 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and a 20/14 K/BB ratio over 18 2/3 innings on the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:57 pm

    • Stumbles against Brewers
Crawford (2-3) took the loss Friday, coughing up six runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings as the Red Sox fell 7-2 to the Brewers. He struck out four.

Advice: It was the worst performance of the season for the right-hander, who failed to complete five innings for the first time since April 5 and got tagged for more than three earned runs for just the second time in 11 starts. Crawford will take a 2.89 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 61:20 K:BB through 62.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:10 am
