    • Clase slams the door for 17th save
Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning to close out a 5-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Clase allowed a two-out single but no other damage as he earned his 17th save of the season. The right-hander now has a 0.33 ERA and has been far-and-away the best closer in baseball so far in 2024. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:57 pm
    • Falls triple short of cycle
Olson went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, three RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Olson's eighth-inning blast off Aroldis Chapman was a no-doubter over the right field wall, clearing the stadium and splashing down in the Allegheny River. Olson had previously added a two-run double and finished the game just a triple short of the cycle. Over his last 13 games, Olson has six multi-hit efforts, batting .308 with four homers, two doubles, 11 RBI and six runs scored in that span. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:53 pm

    • Ryan McMahon homers in win over Phillies
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in a win over the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: McMahon is having one of the least-talked-about strong seasons of any player in baseball. The 29-year-old is slashing .294/.377/.500 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI on the year. He has always been an underrated but steady asset in fantasy leagues and it seems like he’s emerging as a true asset in 2024. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:35 pm

    • Brandon Marsh has two hits in loss
Brandon Marsh went 2-for-2 with a walk and a caught stealing in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Marsh has cooled down from his strong start to the season, coming into the game hitting just .222 in 18 games in Marsh with no home runs after belting six in his first 28 games. It seems that Marsh changed his pull-heavy approach from April which led to a high strikeout rate but strong power numbers. Marsh is now striking out less but also pulling the ball less and slugging .259 in May compared to .505 in April. His early-season power was never going to continue, but his new approach makes him less interesting in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:32 pm

    • Ranger Suárez struggles with command in loss
Ranger Suárez allowed five runs (four earned) on three hits in six innings in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Suárez struck out nine but also walked four and threw just 42 percent of pitches in the strike zone. He did rack up an impressive 39 percent whiff rate but he had just 12 called strikes on the day, compared to 19 whiffs. Given that this game was in Colorado, we can give Suárez a little bit of a pass; however, he might still be a solid sell-high candidate if a fantasy manager in your league values him as a top 20-25 starting pitcher the rest of the way. He’ll take a 1.75 ERA into a start against the Cardinals next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:24 pm
    • Flirts with danger in save
Fairbanks allowed two hits and a walk in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Royals.

Advice: Fairbanks allowed back-to-back two-out singles to load the bases, but he got Bobby Witt on a groundout to end the threat. Despite the danger, Fairbanks turned in his seventh straight scoreless outing since returning from a nerve issue in his arm. He's allowed just four baserunners in that span. The 30-year-old has a 4.50 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 18:9 K:BB and five saves over 14 innings this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:15 pm

    • Peter Fairbanks holds on for the save
Peter Fairbanks earned the save on Sunday after allowing two hits and a walk in his one inning of work.

Advice: The Royals loaded the bases against Fairbanks who got Bobby Witt Jr. to ground out and end the game. Fairbanks didn’t get a single swing and miss but nailed down his fifth save all the same. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:00 pm

    • Matt Olson with three hits, home run in win
Matt Olson went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, and three RBI against the Pirates on Sunday.

Advice: Olson paced the Braves in this one, smoking three hard-hit balls capitalized by a late, 107.8 MPH homer off of Aroldis Chapman. Olson’s finally breaking out of his early season malaise bringing his OPS up from .665 to .744 since May 8th. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:30 pm

    • Brent Rooker gets day off Sunday vs. Astros
Brent Rooker is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Astros.

Advice: Rooker doesn’t get many days of rest, but the 29-year-old will take a seat against Ronel Blanco and the Astros. Kyle McCann will instead operate as the Athletics’ designated hitter. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:33 pm
